If they face them, the Rockets will beat the Spurs in the first round of the playoffs.

Man I'd love for us to get in the playoffs and face the Spurs. It would be a good series and bring some excitement even if we lose. I love watching Rockets playoff basketball and this series won't be one of those one-sided domination types either.

I think the Rockets could make noise in the playoffs, but only on a team that looks past them, and doesn't take the series serious. Unfortunately, I don't see the Spurs taking anyone for granted - they are just too professional.

The Lakers, Mavericks, Hornets, etc. Those guys don't always play every game hard, since they have super star talents they can rely on.

But as it looks now, against the Spurs making any noise is very unlikely.

But playoff experience would be very important for the young guys. It tells this group they are headed in the right direction, as it is still a very young team.

    Heck, yeah!

Lots of people say we're gonna get swept by the Spurs... Hah! Against the 'never say die' Rockets?!? It will take at least 6 games to wrap up the series, in my prediction. But, we have to make it to the 8th first.

I think Scola should guard McDyess. They are the same height, but McDyess weighs 5 pounds more. This way Hayes can guard Duncan.

    Keys to win:
    1. Rebounds - McDyess, Duncan, and Blair are all great at rebounding.
    2. Clutch Defense - The Rockets have to get stops late in the game.
    3. Clutch Offense - Managing to get stops will lead to easy points.

A young, disciplined team that can score like the Rockets is the last team the Spurs want to face in the first round.

Yes we will do damage to our draft pick position. Optimism is great which is why I say we would win 2 games tops IF we make it in. Sure injuries can happen to the Spurs but we're in the same boat with some of the injuries we've dealt with this year.

Well, if we sneak in, SA would be the best matchup we could hope for. Saying that, ultimately 6 games and we're done. We can survive against them because they aren't a big team but they have such high caliber players at other positions that all our guys would have to play above their heads. 2 of the 3 matchups this season have been encouraging and playing pretty much with them while Scola was out was interesting. I think we can extend them to 6 or 7 but don't see us winning.

If healthy, the Spurs would probably sweep us. Nonetheless, it would be a positive to make the playoffs, to generate some excitement for the franchise, and get playoff experience/exposure for our young players/trade assets.

We don't do any damage to our draft position, we have NY's pick.

With Scola back and healthy, Rockets could make Spurs sweat, and with LA, I'd say they'd have it even harder, they're less strong than Spurs, and Rockets have no fear of them.
