think again its not in the right place and I am not making up rules here guess you havent been around enough generally the GARM is generally for threads about rockets players or rockets news or former rockets players who are no longer playing in the NBA. if there are playing for a different team then it goes into the Dish unless its actual news that somehow effects the rockets, this thread was created by you based off of your opinion it has no bearing on the Rockets now since Brooks is no longer on the team so it does belong in the Dish there is a reason why almost every new ariza, artest, landry battier etc threads are all in the NBA Dish and not in the GARM.
Well if the powers that be would of agree with you then they would of moved it long ago. And its just a thread dude. There's thousands of people dying in Japan you here you are acting like you are going to die cause you think I posted this thread in the wrong place.
One season Brooks play great does not equal anything. To be a great player and win fans over, players gotta improve every year and play best at their peak. This year he has consistently choked. Bad shooting decisions, minimal ball movement and straight up selfish plays. These kind of shooting first PGs dont last in the Adelman system. After Brooks left I noticed a lot more fluid ball movement and open looks. Was expecting a breakout year for Brooks this year and gave him ample time to get back but he has lost the touch for some reason and then he complained about playing time. Good riddance!
yes he wanted too much money and didnt show up to play like he used to in the final games approaching the trade deadline good riddance brooks!
people need to classify the past and the present/future. certainly Brooks brought us a lot of excitement in the past. But everyone sees how he struggles and causes us loss after his injury. He just kept making mistakes and not doing the right decision. moreover, if one said we should keep Brooks because he USED to be that good. Why don't we want Mcgrady back since he USED to be 2 times scorer and compartable with Kobe Bryant. no offense to anyone at all
Did we watch the same series??? 1. Yao being fronted created offensive rebounding opportunities and he took full advantage 2. When he was double teamed he founded open shots for his teammates, time and time again 3. I seem to remember Yao went 7-7, 24 points game in one of the portland series 4. He fully made his presence felt. You just didn't know how to appreciate it.
This. If I remember correctly, Yao actually yelled at Brooks after a game during the Portland series and asked Brooks to feed the ball to him regularly. I am not sure who reported that quote (Feigan i guess) though.
umm what? one of the reasons this forum is best in class is because of the way it is organized and maintained. There is absolutely nothing wrong in what the_yoyo said.
The fans in Portland disagree with you. They were all in awe of Yao and talking about how they were going to steal Yao from Houston. For the most part, Yao was the reason we got past Portland. L.A. was a team effort and Yao contributed to stealing game 1. It seemed AB lead our team the rest of the series (but I have selective memory). Artest saved us and killed us at the same time. Officials killed us as well.
Yes. I don't have to cringe when he goes in for the 4th and plays no defense. I no longer think "why is coach A continuing to play him through this shooting slump?" We no longer have a player who pouts and walks out on the team. We don't have to see Brooks leave for nothing this summer. And, Lowry is now the undisputed starter and playing even better than ever. We traded a late first rounder in Brooks, received a 2nd rounder in Dragic and a first round pick. Can anybody answer "no?" The series against the Lakers and Portland were 2 years ago and we're a different team no. Dragic is a better fit.
All I'm saying is that if you don't have anything else better to do then to complain that a person put something in the wrong thread, then you need another hobby.
