Think people overratecd to the Heat losing, but when they play as a team they are the top team in the NBA.

And to think they will only get better, when they pick up a decent centre next year, and maybe a point guard. Scary thoughts!

dammit heat, don't let up. a 17 point lead is nothing against this kind of 3 point shooting. that bosh missed layup was just ridiculous.

edit: 15 now. the heat are going to lose somehow aren't they? they're running the prevent offense and prevent defense right now.

The stories were only printed because they know people will read them.

    Web hits = money.

gotta find a way to beat Boston/Chicago

I don't really think there is a PG out there who is going to make much of a difference... Lebron is still the PG when it matters in all honesty

popovich tried to stay mad and keep all the players out there for as long as he could but i guess he'll finally pull them now.

miami hasn't played a more complete game all season. the spurs missed open 3's but the overall rotations, attention to detail, positioning, deflections, etc was as good a defensive effort as they've had. and even with lebron not going off, the offense has been very solid (for some reason, the spurs decided to give chris bosh all the open mid-range jumpers he could ever want).

and i don't know how magloire was pulled off the scrap heap and managed to play so well tonight. i mean he still sucks, but for a heat center this was as good as you can expect in a game.

Yes, I believe that if the Heat bring the defensive intensity they are capable of, it doesn't really matter how poorly they play offensively. The Pistons won titles in the 80s and 00s without having dominant offensive players, and the Heat can do the same thing.

Kind of makes it seem worse in a way. Not that it's a big deal, or even a medium deal. It's just strange to see Duncan talking like that, I guess. Meh.

It seems like the Heat offense flows better when Lebron functions as a facilitator.

Miami can say THANK YOU to Boston. They opened the door to the FInals for the Heat. Boston sucks now. They made a huge mistake.

And as for the Heat, they WILL ALWAYS have a chance no matter how much they suck. They just have too much talent

the question is can they keep up the defensive intensity for the rest of the season and playoffs.

boston was the 4th seed last year. this team shows up to play in the playoffs. their defense is great enough that they can win on the road. however, losing perkins is huge, unless shaq turned back the clock 3 years.

i will not rule out boston. their starters have been playing on the lower end of 30 minutes in the past 2 weeks, to prepare for the playoffs.

Boston key is health. To say they suck is flat out stupid. Did you not watch this team last year?

the loss of perkins WILL hurt. but this is not the boston that will go into the playoffs. they're kind of banged up right now, and are resting their stars.

however, rondo's struggles can be a cause of concern. they go as he goes offensively.

The difference between this year and last year is team chemistry. It won't be nearly as good as last year. I think it's obvious the Celts have lost some of their mojo. Agree with you they cannot be written off but I wouldn't be shocked if they laid an egg in the playoffs. In my book, the trade knocked them down from being the Finals favorite to 3rd most likely.

    T_mac1 and A_3PO

I am with you guys that they aren't the same. I said at the trade deadline that the Perkins trade will hurt them against Miami because now you don't have that size advantage(I don't believe Shaq can be dependable). I definitely think it took them out of contention for beating LA. I just think Perkins would have a bigger impact for them than Green did. Kristic has played pretty good though. If they can get healthy they will be dangerous

I picked Miami to start the season so I think they will get there over Boston but I just can't say they suck like Jeffwho did.

Well, if you were making this post last year, you would have said the Celtics had no chemistry then because they were awful. They only started playing well in the playoffs, when they looked like the best team in the NBA. It was the opposite of their 2008 situation, whey they were the runaway best regular season team but looked like shyte in the playoffs until the later rounds. Who knows what we'll see this year. They def. have more competition though.
