I beleive if Yao has an adequate game tonight against the Spurs maybe makes 10pts 5rebs 3assts and 2blocks really hard to happen but hoping, and the whole nation "ESPN" sees that then maybe just maybe we would get 5more televised games so us out here in the East Coast could see our beloved Houston Rockets and Sir.Charles as much as i love him and Kenny could shut up and have to admire him on TNT and AOL tv. if yao does play tonight I expect to play maybe around 20 minutes and get around 8-10 pts and 3-4 rebounds. I am not trying to downplay him in anyway but it will be his first NBA game and I dont want to put too many expectations on him but he is more than capable of getting those numbers in 20 minutes and I believe Rudy T when he says he doesnt want to rush Yao in things. I think the situation with yao right now is analogous to the hs kids playing. Start them off slow and then gradually they will develop and become stars, but in Yao's case instead of taking years it may just take months or weeks. But I dont think he will play more than 25 minutes tonight and I dont expect him to get a double-double either. I do hope he blocks that pretty bank shot Duncan has on the left block that would be awesome.
Think its how much Rudy wants him to knock the jetters off and show some flashs of things to come Maybe 12 to 18 mins...I think he will play in the end of 2nd and the start of 3rd qts but that is just a guess.........
I would say about 12-15 minutes. 4 points 3 rebounds 1 assist 1 block I would guess that he will play more on thursday night, maybe around 20 minutes.
Francis will decide how many points Ming can score... cuz if he doesn't pass the big boy da ball. Ming won't score more than 10. but he has a high FG %. the points will come in just fine if he gets more touches.
I do think Yao will be a solid center for us, but not tonight. 18 min, 4 points, 2 rbs, 2 assists, and 4 fouls. Considering all that Yao has had to adjust to over the last few days, I would be happy with any positive sign at all.
He will play about 12 mins, his stats will be something like this, 12 points (too tense to shot, but will make all his fts) 6 rbs 4 blks 7 assists (he will surprise many people here) 2 stls 3 tos 3 fouls --daoshi
daoshi, no offense, but if any human did this, they would be averaging a significant game event every 18 seconds, not including missed shots. I can hear the call now... "Yao blocks the Admiral's shot. He turns it over to the Admiral. Foul on Yao! ... (after free throws). ... Yao inbounds to himself, brings it up the court, makes the inlet pass to himself... turnaround shot... Yao blocks his own shot, passes to himself again for the easy jam. mark it block-rebound-assist-two points for Yao Ming! He is all over the place tonight!"
I think Yao will start and get about 25 minutes with about 14 points 9 rebounds 2 blocks and 3 assists. Rudy T is like a kid on christmas eve that can't wait to open his presents. He wants to take it slow with Yao Ming but since Yao Ming will be playing good he will leave him in. We have all read where Rudy said that he can't sleep at night because he is so excited about Yao Ming and we have also heard Kelvin Cato say that Yao is already better than him. Yao Ming will start tonight and do good. Get ready because tonight we get the first glimpse of a dynasty in the making. Eddie and Yao Ming will own the paint!
