I'm predicting that AC Milan defeats Bayern Munich 2-0 at the San Siro. I will be jumping with joy when Bayern finally goes down. Yes, I'm a Man U fan and England fan, which means I am supposed to hate the DFB, as well as all of the Bungholeliga teams.

    Go AC Milan!!!

Not that I know of... I think ESPN only shows CL coverage on Tuesdays this year. Yeterday it was Real Madrid vs AEK Athens.

Milan won 2-1. At least Bayern scored a goal.

    Bye bye Bayern!

    Yeah.

It was a good game to watch. I think the second goal of Milan was offside; Bayern also had a clear penalty taken away, a shot at the crossbar and several more chances. Overall, Bayern was clearly the superior team, imho, but that's football (soccer for the ignorants ;)).

There is still a theoretical chance to reach the next round, but I think that was it. Bayern had been the most consistent team in Europe for the past ten years, but the core of the team has been renewed and they are still a young team.

This team will have to win the UEFA cup this year and will take this year as a learning and growth year - and next year, they will dominate the Champions League again .

Don't go out on a limb there kidrock. What I want to know is if you are really the eighth kid rock on this board or if you just like the number eight.

    I don't understand your post...

The part I did understand was your question. I happen to like the #8.

What kind of changes do you think Bayern should/will make for next year? Assuming you think they need any to being with...

I think they need to add a super defender to replace Linke who is getting old. Someone of Nesta's or Rio Ferdinand's caliber.

Also, they might want to get some enforcer in the midfield who might not be the best technically, but who will make the other team respect you. That was Effenberg's role last season and although Ballack is a much better player, he is not intimidating the other team. I mean someone like Roy Keane or so (I hate that guy).

Also, some minor tweaking here and there, but other than that, I think they are all set.

Good points you bring up regarding a central defender. Even better point about a MF enforcer-type. I say bring in Edgar Davids, who was rumored to going to Roma. Though, Bayern historically doesn't splash out major money on big transfers.
