The earth is 4.54 billion years old. The chances of this world ending during your lifetime are infinitesimal.
Lulz. People actually "worry" about this kind of stuff? Lay off the History Channel "Nostradamus" marathons.
Next year is going to be annoying as hell. Clutch should just sticky a 2012 thread on January 1st next year and keep all the loco's there. That'll stop them from starting a doomsday thread after every "event" during the year.
I think we'll all die before we meant to. Whether that means car accident, cancer, meteor collision, nuclear war, blah blah blah. When it happens, you won't even know it until it's too late. Stop worrying and do something in the event that it doesn't happen. I would recommend getting laid. A lot.
You realize that 8 point earthquakes and 9 point earthquakes have been happening for millenia, right? Just last year there was an 8.8 quake in Chile. I ask, why didn't the world "end" in the 60's? There was a 9.5 earthquake in Chile in 1960, and a 9.2 in Alaska four years later. Hell of a lot more terrifying than a tsunami causing earthquake off the coast of Japan... which also happens to be a country that realizes this danger and is very prepared for it. You know they've been having earthquakes and tsunamis ever since that island has been inhabited, right? This isn't some new event unfurled by the wrath of God. But you know what... I'm pretty sure OP is trolling anyway.
Who cares if the world is/was going to end. We would be witnessing the greatest event in the history of the entire world. Not that it would happen, but being alive when the world comes to an end would be an insane event to be a part of.
The world isn't going to end in 2012. If it does starts in 2012 it will take years before human will start to die off. It's needs a big earthquake to start off a chain reaction that will blow off the lid of volcanoes with it and it'll surely be the beginning of an end. But look on the bright side. We might already have an ET looking out for us ready to step in and rescue mankind.
I hope the world ends, bye bye credit card debts, old fat girlfriends and Sallie ****ING MAE, AHAHAHAHAHHAH!!!!!
Of course he does. He believes 2012 is the end of the world just like he believes 9/11 is a conspiracies.
I think if we stopped having earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and weather then we should start worrying.
March 11, 2011 a Massive Earthquake - your thoughts Posted: Wed Jan 19, 2011 5:06 pm It is said if the Moon's orbit is aligned with the Earth just right... in the past.. this has and in the future... will result in causing one or more massive earthquakes. And it just so happens this coming March 11, 2011 is going to be one of these times one of those orbits between the Moon and Earth take place. And, one rumor... already has it that a California group of geologists are asking their cohorts not to taking any chances.. and - recommend that any of their cohorts that are going to be caught in what might be called - the back country... a few days before or after the date of March 11, 2011, be sure to have at least three months of needed supplies with them. That doesn't mean California is the place where a major Earthquake takes place on this date. The most remembered event when this type of orbit took place was in the middle of the Indian Ocean when a 9.2 earthquake hit December 26. 2004. And, well over a quarter of a MILLION died caused by the terrible tsunami from the earthquake. Now... that you're aware of the possible chances??????? Caution wise... will you take any special particular steps to prepare ahead of time... In the event there could be massive earthquake in and or around your area? Is there any advise you can share with others? link
No it wont end in 2012. NIbiru is coming though. People will think its a 2nd moon but really its a planet. Our moon is closest in march 19, so expect more earthquakes and such till then. As far as 2012, people have been brainwashed. Worst case scenarios: major earthquakes or nuke war. Ok, well as long as you arent on a fault line,or near the ocean or in big city you will live. But that doesnt mean "the world ended". Now,a giant comet smashing into earth could possibly end all life even in mountains. But with amateur astrologists around someone would see it before it hits,so even if the government wanted to keep it secret they cant. Just thank god you dont live in California. Ok,lets talk "earths crust moving in 2012". Okay, yeah it will move with gravitational pull of planet x. You may even lose some cell phone connection part time. People will start to panic thinking its the end, and if gas is $5 a gal like Ive heard this summer, people will be scared. Fine be scared. Losing your cell phone connection isnt the end of world you facebook addicts. Your city may even have "hotter" temps or "colder" temps based on which way the earth moves. So what. The "panic" is what will screw the economy up more than the crust moving. When people panic, the stocks crash because people are bailing out. Move away from california faultlines, take out your money in stock market, and buy gold NOW because when gas goes up even $1 your investment nearly doubles in 1 month. Then you sell it online (mail the gold bars in) before the gas goes back down. (happened in 2008 with gold and will happen again this summer)
if i knew we were going to be directly hit by an asteroid or nuked, i wouldn't even bother trying to evacuate. what's the point? why would anyone want to survive it.
If you look at the list of earthquakes you'll realize that actually there have been less the last 3 years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_deadly_earthquakes_since_1900
This!^ Good Idea, Clutch needs to get proactive on this, before the paranoid people start invading the hangout.
This was the first sign of the apocalypse for me... and even NOW I still don't believe it's true, so I'm living life to the fullest with my kids.
