I would try to ignore it too. Hopefully it will go away. It's going to be really annoying if it doesn't.

I think we all agree that this is not a big deal. The only thing we disagree on is whether it was appropriate to tweet about it or not. No one knows about this if he doesn't tweet. The Texans don't have to take calls or deny comments. Nobody calls his agent. This is a non issue.

    Kareem Jackson needs a brain.

I think the whole thing boils down to his seeming lack of intelligence on this issue. Regardless of whether or not he tweets about things, he needs to remember he is a professional athlete in the public eye and will always be under scrutiny. It would be wise for him to stay away from events like this. Unfortunately for athletes, it's the price they pay.

I think my analogy is accurate (at least in many states, Texas NOT being one of them). Attending a cockfight is illegal.

Considering that mar1juana use is prohibited by the CBA and, by rule, results in fines and suspensions over and above any legal ramifications and regardless of legality, I'd say it's very obviously a different circumstance.

I'm sure there is moral codes in their contract, a la Big Ben getting suspended while not being charged.

The "moral code" applies to cockfighting in the DR?

Ok so here's my question then, bullfighting in Spain or opening a chicken farm?

Also against the "moral code"? Y or N?

edit: I just looked up the player conduct policy and I don't see anyway that this could fit.

    Wait a second . . .

This whole time we have been talking about roosters fighting??

Damn I thought Kareem was talking about watching two dudes slap each other's ****s together.

Roosters? That's nothing. Tweet away. Or . . err . . cluck away.

You guys have it all wrong. The rumors I'm hearing is that Kareem was working an angle for a Caribbean newspaper, and tweeted these pictures just to show Texans fans that he actually CAN cover something...

I try to ignore little Dickie Justice as much as possible, and this story exemplifies why

So much ridiculous hyperbole I can't even read the whole thing

It's like a story from The Onion or something
