Refman, Those seats you're talking about in Row P are $112 a seat. I'm not sure how it could've been over a thousand dollars for four ... did you buy direct or go through a ticket broker? That section is typically mostly sold out and occupied by season ticket holders, with those remaining seats (which we're still trying to sell to prospective season ticket buyers) coming available a few days before the game. Right now, we're generally sold out all the way up to Row T (the last 5 rows) in the lower bowl, mid-court sections, and all of those seats are taken by full-season package buyers. We have made some of those tickets in the top rows of the lower bowl available for individual game purchases; let me know if I can help. Hey Tim, I know this is off subject for this thread, but I was wondering when season ticket holders will recieve their media guide? Thanks.
The first run comes back from the printer at the end of this week, but most of those go out to other teams (for their broadcasters and PR departments) and media. The second (larger) run comes back not too long after that, and then it's just a matter of getting it out in the mail. We should have some firm dates later today. (It just went off to the printer at the end of last week.) Tim
My brother has season tickets, I went to a few games last season. It was very depressing. The b-ball was boring and the place was empty. Not a fun night at all. That group of college co-eds running around trying to hype the crowd just got on my nerves. I guess the atmosphere had alot to do with why I didn't enjoy it. I have been to Clippers games and that is a blast, a total b-ball party. Compaq Center was like a Morgue last season. I hope there are plans to advertise when games are coming up outside of Rockets broadcasts. Maybe during the local ad time during Sportscenter. The problem with advertising during Rockets games only, is that you are preaching to the choir. I'll be at a few games this year. Sonics, Clippers and Kings definitely. I hope we can go to a bar or something.
Reliant was kind of empty when I went to see the Bills/Texans. They announced a crowd of like 72,000 too. Strange, plus all the luxury boxes at the top were empty. What's goin on down there? Support your teams!
I think all of the tailgaters should throw all of there extra meat that they cook all over the red parking lot as the rich people who show up 5 minutes before the game and never even take their seats they just sit back there in the bars and talk. Why go to a game and not watch it and support there team .
That is good. I agree and will follow them closely as well. There is just so many more options with my entertainment dollar that are more enjoyable. ps- Want to change your signature yet? Nachbar - 10pts, 7rbs Not looking too promising for this year.
Next year I will go to many more games based mainly on the location of the new stadium. I work next door and 59 just sucks and there will be about 3,000 more tickets available hopefully at a reduced price!!!!
Huh? He scored 7 points and 4 rebounds last game (3rd NBA game over-all). AND, there's still 84 more games left. He's the real deal!!!
Thanks to all who replied. I went to ticketmaster.com and ran a search for 4 tickets, best available in all prices...and it popped up with the seats I previously mentioned. Then it told me that my total price was $1,058 and some change. Can somebody explain to me why that is? BTW...as soon as I become a rich, famous lawyer...I plan on having season tix.
He may one day be the real deal, but is far from it right now. Those stats are attainable, I just do not think it will be for a few years. The guy will start in fewer than 10 games this year.
Its because the best available were the $260 tickets, not the $112 tickets. The tickets you pulled up are the first row behind the benches and the press row. If you get 4 $112 tickets it should run you $470.65 after all of the charges.
Thanks for the info...BTW for $260 they better be inviting me to go to have drinks with the team after the game.
My point is to date Boki makes Langhi look like Larry Bird. In time Boki will be a hell of a shooter, maybe a good all around player, but 10 & 7 this year will be tough with only 6 min per game.
I haven't been impressed with Boki so far. I'm willing to give him time, but he shouldn't be in the playing rotation during the regular season. 3rd string at best - ditto Tierre.
I don't think Boki has a firm grasp of the offense...which is most of his problem. He takes off balance shots and generally looks lost out there. Rusy and his staff need to spend some time with this kid.
Does it say, PPG? No, it's a boxscore. Yes, Boki, will score 10 points this year, maybe 15! And the reason I pick this starting lineup (someday), is because these are the players that will represent the Rockets for the years to come. Not KT, not Rice. I aways believe in eventually starting your best players. Not the old vets. Who do I think has a good change to become very good? Hawkings. I like his game.
