Stream to TV Option - AppleTV & League Pass Broadband Wasn't quite sure if I should post this in the GARM or not, but I figured a lot more people would see it here, which is the point. I've been looking for better alternatives to watching streaming (usually poor quality) on my PC--thanks to everyone for the links to the streams, BTW; couldn't have made it this long without them--but cheaper than NBA League Pass. Seems there is finally some decent middle ground. I'd be willing to pay for the LP Broadband if I could watch it on my TV. So... AppleTV now works with NBA League Pass Broadband, so you can watch on your TV, including the archived games. NBA LP Broadband pricing is $65 for 7 teams, $95 for all teams, which really isn't that bad at all. Much better than the $180+. http://www.apple.com/appletv/#sports http://www.nba.com/appletv/ http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2381732,00.asp I've been looking for a good reason to get an AppleTV, and now I have one. Hope this helps others out there looking for good middle ground to watch on TV.
I've been watching the games from LPBroadband on TV for a 2 years now. If you have PC (desktop or laptop) in the same room as your TV, you just need HDMI cable or S-video to hook them up, set the TV as 2nd display and there you go. You can also play games on your TV, watch netflix, hulu, TED...
Don't have an AppleTV yet, but I'm guessing they have a built-in app for accessing the content. You just have to purchase NBA LP Broadband and then enter your LP info in the AppleTV app.
Unfortunately, I don't have a good setup for that. My laptop resolution isn't good enough to look good on my TV, and it's really inconvenient to hook everything up every couple of days. But I others who do that--not a bad option.
this is seriously tempting; in fact, if they had Sunday Ticket as well, i'd probably cut the (cable) cord altogether.
Yeah, bummer on that. But at least it should only be 4 games a season, right? Unless you in an Eastern Conference city, which would be even less? Or do you live in LA?
Very true. Considering not all cable providers can offer Sunday Ticket, I doubt this would happen soon.
I would not mind paying $65, I think thats a fair price and I don't watch all the teams anyways. Wish this option was available to people without appletv
