No rest for Scola Though Rockets coach Rick Adelman said he planned to hold Luis Scola out of practices for much of the season to rest Scola's sore right knee, Scola was not ready to go along with the plan. "That won't happen," said Scola, who rarely takes even off days off. "You can't play if you can't practice. If I'm able to play I should be able to practice." Scola strained his right knee last week in New Orleans, but played in the next three games, pushing his streak of consecutive games played to 310. He wore a small brace in Portland and Los Angeles, but switched to a sleeve Saturday night. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/7459124.html ------------ Gotta love Scola!
let's hope he doesnt injure himself further. love his attitude tho. we are still kinda in the play-off hunt
I read this two ways: - I was wrong for wanting to trade him so we cuold rebuild... - Thank you DM the GM... - HE is a leader ( after all we are talkin' about practice )... OR - Pat Patterson is so good that he my not get his job back ( see Brooks )... - If he gets ANY time with the ONES ( even in practice ) he just may stay there... just thoughts... give time, time
That is why Scola is a beast and I hated some members on the board that wanted to trade Scola. He will be a Rockets Lifer and haters/trolls should deal with it.
Scola is one of my favourite players in rocket. There is a scene I saw in a game a couple months ago :two big guys are dancing with Scola's no.4 clothe and the distinguishing wig.lol
He's one of my favorite Rockets. I still think we should trade him. In fact, that's all the more reason we should trade him. Otherwise he'll be retiring on a mediocre team. I doubt Scola will still be good by the time they right this ship.
Scola is not an athletic guy. Age is not going to affect him soon. He can play the same level even when he's 40.
He is not perfect..he has flaws..he is only human. The guy has weakness on defense because he lacks the athleticism, not effort. However, he does make up for it with his offense, hustle, and endurance. Rockets are lucky to have him.
