Glad somebody else enjoyed Finding Forrester. Empire?? Are you talking about the one with John Leguizamo?
2001: A Space Odyssey *SPOILER* Luxurious hotel room, monolith in front of bed, rapid aging, and then, a child floating in outer space.
Hannah and Her Sisters After this set-up epiphany, great in its own right: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ftiIPJky_Vs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> The end: The Woody Allen character, impotent according to all medical science, finds love/marries the Dianne Wiest character. The last scene is a Norman Rockwell family reunion, in which Dianne Wiest reveals that she is, in fact, pregnant. Woody Allen's face. Either the universe has provided a miracle--faith and hope-- or his wife is unfaithful, deceitful--the worst he believed about humanity is true. A little half smile, the briefest of recognitions. Fade to black. Nobody's perfect.
Departed was awesome, but I'm going to have to second whoever posted THE MIST I laughed hysterically the first time I saw it.
This one takes it for me <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Tmzbosye2-Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Lock stock and two smoking barrels, love how the final scene intertwines all the running stories together. Not sure if it was GOAT but I liked it, same with Inception, I lol'd.
Can't say these are my favorite, but thought more classics need mention: Casablanca North by Northwest Suddenly Last Summer (incredible scream by Liz Taylor)
it's come up before, and I'll post it again... <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/AA0xZv0Hx9g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
ok, so i read the novella way before the movie, so never watched the movie, because King's movies are usually not that good. From the book, I can't remember a great ending. what happened? ok, again, what happened? the last fight scene. How can the last scene of that movie be better than the first scene? I guess I remember the first scene much more vividly, because there was a dog involved.
Probably the best !@#$ you! ever captured on film. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/tzObK5dzeVg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
