Whenever I see my team step in the game, I expect them to give their all every game and practice to win. I'm okay with trading some guys for draft picks, and rebuilding/reloading whatever. But if you sign up for a competition, I want and support my team to go for the throat every time. Our record's too good to get a high draft pick, so there no point in looking back this late in the season. We burned the ships, no choice now but to fight and kill the enemy. Playoffs or Bust!! Lets go Rox!!
It is very easy for the ones in favor of Tanking,who have many more years of fanship, But I (who am old) and my parents who are very old, And all other old time Rocket fans, it is out of the question. I suspect Alexander feels the same way. Who is to say you youngsters won't get hit by a truck by the time a 2011 high draft choice takes us to the Championship series? Geez...Our Rockets (at least since the Hakeem draft) would never tank...Alexander has not nor would he, from what I have observed Ok that. We will make the playoffs, and they will be talking about for years to come...I feel it in my old bones.
People lets be realistic alot of us say I want championship or nothing,well do we have a star no, so get a grip lets make the playoffs and enjoy that.Lebrons baby-mamma gets cheated on all the time does she complain,no she takes what she can get.Same goes for Rockets lets just make the playoffs the Nba is structured to where it would take a miracle on 34th street to win a title w/the team anyway.So Ill take the playoffs thats cool,maybe we can have a miracle in Clutch Cuty !
Repped OP, im tired of all this tank talk, i want the playoffs, theres nothing like the playoffs...team should never tank! if they keep playing the way they're starting to play now, the playoffs would be fun to watch. the year i really became coherent as to what was going on in basketball i became a die hard rocket fan and that was the year we lost to the sonics, the year before we won, i was heart broken but needless to say i was extremely happy the next two years lol LETS GO ROX!
Not meaning to say you are not real fans, just that we dont need those type of fans at this point in the season. We need the fans that want us to win win win!!!!!
No ways man. We got no chance against Mavericks. They are as good as Spurs (If they had not lost Dirk in the middle of the season) but with more size. We want to avoid size at any cost. I know Spurs are not the best team by accident... but still I would rather take my chances against team that we can match up to. Hate to say it.. but I fear the Mavs more than Spurs. Let's go 8th seed.
