I was at a wedding this weekend and alot of the guests were from other states. almost everyone of them commented on our beer cans, coke cans and everything else that we print the texas flag on. I never really thought about it but I never have seen another state on a beer bottle. I just thought that was pretty interesting
After going to college I was surprised to learn that most people don't know their state song, flower, etc. They thought it was weird when I told them that we sung the state song at least once a week in elementary school. The state pride is really great away from home since it's like instant bonding with anyone else from the great state.
Even though i was not born in Texas or the US for that matter, their is no state that i would rather live in. I love the fact that we have such pride in our state.
Budweiser and Bud Light have special bottles for Alaska. It's the only other state besides Texas where that is the case, at least from where I've been (26 states).
Although I should point out that I have a big sign in my room that says "Miller Lite: True to Texas" and it has a picture of a bullrider on it.
