Since he has no chance (im my opinion because of LeBron and Rose and their teams having better records) at winning the MVP, Dwight should win the MIP in my eyes.

I mean, the step forward he has made is incredible. For example 17 points in the first 12 minutes against Knicks. The guy is not only dominating with his defense, but this year he is a beast on offense as well. He added jumpshot and post moves.

    I am impressed.

no way he wins it. I will agree he has upped his play, especially on the offensive side, but the fact that he has been in consideration for this and past mvps probably disqualifies him. Id say itll probably go to kevin love, theres a guy whose taken his game to a new level

Yeah. You just can't let it go with Love. I don't care that he plays for Minny. They guy has been amazing too.

According to some here, Howard had flatlined (last season and before) and wasn't going to improve his offense.

    Better MIP candidates
Kevin Love, Michael Beasley, Dorrell Wright, Demar DeRozan, Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook, Wesley Matthews, LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul Millsap, Eric Gordon

It's a shame they put so much emphasis on wing players because Dwight Howard has definitely been the MVP this season... but he won't win it.

Griffin is nowhere near this discussion. You don't reward someone who is basically a rookie Most Improved.

    Love will get it.

He didn't just improve his performance, he elevated his game to historical levels.

finally living up to his potential. for a while last year, i never thought highly of him b/c of his offense. now he's a legit top 2 player.

lebron and dwight are heads and shoulders above every player right now.
