Actually, after trying it out again I take that back. It's not trashy... the red and black is sort of nice actually. I think I'll give it a day or so before deciding whether to switch back.
Standard looks great. Dark is too similar to other forums like NikeTalk, and the standard gives the forum a fresh, clean, and uncluttered look.
In Dark theme, subtle things like thumbnail icons and logos stand out because they have a slight white border. I find it distracting and I feel it cheapens the board.
Thank you Clutch! The white was killing my eyes, plus the dark helps while browsing at work since most of our programs are dark. Like the best day ever!
Lol. This is all pretty entertaining. FYI kiddos: ALL computers used to be on "The Dark Side." I think just about every company thought they coined that term back in the 90's when all of the computers were being upgraded. I remember in 99 all of the computers at Prudential, Dean Witter, Morgan Stanley etc. were all still using the old computers because they ran the software. In fact, I only first got on the internet when our company finally upgraded, and found this site shortly thereafter. I didn't even own a personal computer until 2002.
The Dark Side of course. It's been really painful having to use the standard theme the last couple days.
