I don't know how much you've seen but the local stations here often show some part of practice...usually not much from what I've seen. I think they only keep it open for them just enough to get their footage.

Are we excited about Ming or what?! Imagine how Rudy feels. I can hardly wait till the "practice rumors" start leaking out. If you have played the game, you know how a good team can affect your play. Ming has never played with players this good! (but he has played AGAINST players this good). After playing with the Chinese guards, Frances and Mobley will seem like All World! (and they might be) He will start in a "supporting role," so even though all eyes are on him he won't be expected to carry the team. Also, the other players are going to try and show him how great they are. Ming should relax, do his thing, and watch the show!

Actually, if you've ever seen ANY NBA camp or practice (or NFL or MLB for that matter), this is not uncommon. It isn't that players DON'T stretch, it is just that they have their own routines and ways of doing things.

That's why they have trainers there to monitor them.

No. It said Ming did well in the practice. Steve was kinda of his "model" at the practice. And Steve pretended he was injuried when he was stretching. Both of them (Ming and Steve) were laughing. see this photo.

    Haha...I wondering what was up.

Is anybody else happy that it seems as though the two are right by each other in the stretching and stuff. I think that shoots down the "Steve hates Yao" stuff. (though that happened a long time ago.)

That pic makes more sense now that we know Francis was playing a joke on Ming. Seems kinda wrong though.

    From the update:
First time I ever heard Collier say ANYTHING. Pretty funny thing Moochie did, though.

Thanks for all the info Clutch. I can't stop grinning. :D

We're told Yao ran light sprints baseline to baseline before practice and Moochie Norris, who was not running with the team but was shooting around, would get close to Yao when he came near the baseline. Moochie would then go up for a layup, yelling, "Hey Steve! I was the first to shoot one over Yao!".

Jason Collier responded, "Mooch, you're gonna be famous in China."

"It was weird," said the source. "When Yao first got on the court and started shooting with Juaquin Hawkins and Oscar Torres, none of the guys really said anything to him. Finally once the stretching began, Francis came over and they talked back and forth during that period."

"While stretching, Cuttino told Yao that he needed to get his hair braided like Moochie, but I think that went over Yao's head."

    AHHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAH :D :D :D

This pic looks so unreal. Ming looks like a character from "Honey, I blew up the kids."

Ming looks a bit skinny by himself. But when you put "normal" size people next to him, you realize how huge he is in every dimension.
