I hope T-will will get some min, maybe not 30 min a game, which might hurt team's chemistry. At least, let the man play for awhile in second qtr to see what he can do. Don't over play chase, he was a bench player who got used to play 20 min a game.
I agree. I was expecting him to sound like some goofy kid. Hopefully the TWill we see is that hungry/humbled/motivated TWill. If so, he can be a solid, maybe even good, NBA player.
He was stu stu stuttering, then proceeded to try his best to dance around the win now or rebuilding question.
I always thought Twill handled himself well in interviews, at least since he's been here.... He's not really any different than most other players. They act professional when there is a camera in their face and they are more themselves when there isn't one. The only problem is he doesn't realize how many people read his tweets and that he may be better off tweeting less or making it private. Budinger sounds a lot more confident already. I hope he does a little bit of everything offensively, like that last game, from now on. That'll help absorb some of his issues defensively.
I can't wait to see T-will "erupt" I think he has a lot of potential and can't wait to see that either come true or not.
I was thinking TWill was saying all the right things until he started losing it toward the end of the interview. I thought he was about to go find Adelman and choke him, but was restraining. lol. He was almost resigned to the fact he's not going to be able to do anything about his situation. I think Berman (?) asked him if he was about to explode. He really held his tongue there. It's got to be frustrating.
Didnt watch all of them but just watched Adelman's. -Don't expect to see Hasheem anytime soon -Still wants/expects to win(see: no "tanking") -Asked about Thabeet: "Havent' seen him play, all I know is he's tall" - And that pretty much sums up Thabeet for you! -Did hear on the sportscast tonight(paraphrasing): "I came here 3 1/2 years ago to coach Yao and Tracy, now it's only Luis and Chuck who are left from that team."
I have been critical of Adelman, but he has done nothing to diminish his hall of fame credentials here in Houston. He has done the best coaching of his career here, in fact/
Does this annoy anyone else? Length of interviews: Adelman 3:36 Bud 2:00 Twill 5:38 Hayes 1:43 Lee 1:45
No, BONIERO1576 makes a valid point ......Though he is a mercenary gun for hire, Larry Brown or one of his disciples would be a good match for us. Look, I have the utmost respect for Adelman who is headed for Springfield, but he's most likey out the door.........
It sounds like Rick will be willing to put Hasheem in the rotation when he gets a few practices under his belt, that is good news.
Just to clear myself up. Here: [rquoter] Rockets coach Rick Adelman would not comment when asked how the Rockets’ trades might impact his desire to return as coach. "I really don’t want to answer that at this point,” Adelman said Friday. “There is no reason to. I’m in the same situation these guys (players) are. I have to do whatever I can to try to see if we can get in the playoff picture. It’s tough. I lost two guys I really think a lot of and really meant a lot to us. “I look at the team today. In 3 1/2 years since I came here, we have only two guys left, Luis (Scola) and Chuck (Hayes.) That’s not a lot of stability. I came to coach Yao (Ming) and Tracy (McGrady) and ended up with Luis and Chuck. It is kind of amazing those are the only two guys left. I told them, ‘This is the group we have. What are you going to make of it?’ That is the same approach I have to take.”[/rquoter]
I'm guessing that Adelman will not be returning to the Rockets next season. Sounds like he got frozen out of the decision making process and is peeved about it. The Rox are in full on rebuilding mode. Not much continuity or veteran leadership left. Makes me wonder what Yao's situation is going to be if he comes back.
Some players do not have all the skills. I think Chase has improved his defense since being here, but I do not think he has the skills to become a good defender. Jermaine Taylor rode the bench, but you see him having good game in Sacramento now, right? You I think of 'influenced' I think mindset, not skills. You can only teach someone so much.. Why hasn't Kobe taught anything to Luke Walton?
