That caveat has been removed in today's NBA.

I dunno man, if a lot of players have the same issue then it must be the coach. Tmac and Ben Wallace are both high maintenance primadonas, but they haven't really mutinied against the coach in their careers. Even when Tmac felt like he was getting disrespected by coach RA he basically kept it indoors, although he had that screaming match behind closed doors at least when the game started he still did what the coach wanted him to do.

look, if 1 or 2 players had issue with the coach, fine. sometimes it happens.

but this is HALF of the team publicly protesting, and the other half doesn't like him either. this is on keuster. he lost the team 10 games into the season.

the players are making a fool out of themselves for this (don't know what mcgrady is thinking although i sympathize for him, but he is not a star anymore to afford to do this), but keuster is an embarrassment to NBA coaches).

he literally is an equivalent to stromile swift in terms of nba iq

@Vee_Ellis4Freep Not clear on how many participated, but team just walked into shower while Kuester was talking. #Pistons.

Well i like Tmac. People basically see what the Rockets had to deal with now. So I think everyone and players around the league now realize exactly what its like with Tmac on your team. Rocksts look better now after this. Of course it isnt his fault entirely though. Never was and never is. Just happens to be part of these types of things????

My first reaction was that this is extremely unprofessional and somewhat of a shock considering these are mostly veterans.

Then I thought, considering so many players are involved, there must be something to this. As long as they're willing to face the consequences (suspension+fines), I'm okay with it.

Wow, the coach definitely needs to be canned. If you can't massage the egos of veteran players, then you can't be an NBA head coach. It really is that simple.

As for T-Mac, if he helped instigated this, my respect for him would be all but gone. Calling for a strike is worse than even quitting on your team. But if Prince, Hamilton, or someone else instigated it, while T-Mac just went along, I won't hold it against him.

i think it's rip and prince.

    1) rip basically has been publicly embarrassed by keuster and the organization by being DNP despite his history there.
    2) prince called keuster out 2-3 times already this year publicly, and verbally argued with him during a game.

apparently, they wanted to do this in the indy game before the allstar break. but word got around that keuster would be fired during the break so they didn't go through with it.

when he did not get fired, the strike resumed.

Based on what I've read on the Pistons forums, I'm going to assume Rip/Prince initiated this.

Such a bizarre situation...instinctively I'm siding with the players here, simply based on glancing at the coach's rotations.

Plus, I know it is wrong...but good lord Kuester just LOOKS like he's a gigantic douche, right?

according to reports this was not organized by mcgrady but rip hamilton mcgrady probably felt he had to follow when the other vets prince and wallace joined hamilton.

the guy has done plenty of stupid things to hurt his team in the past but this time he is being dumb again but he is not to blame for staging the walk outs and all

come on man, no one is comparing the players to inmates. the phrase is used to compare two like situations when those who are supposed to be in charge lose power to those who are supposed to be following orders.

plus, "inmates running the asylum" is a much easier way to explain it than "he is violating the terms of his contract and acting unprofessionally." when you order a burger im sure you don't say "i'd like two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, unions, on a sesame seed bun." you just say "i'll take a number 1" and everyone knows what you mean.

Tracy certainly hasn't been on the team long enough to act like this especially after the coach helped revive his career. Kuester certainly makes some poor rotation choices, but that shouldn't be an excuse for the new guy on the team to act like a jackass.

Not the right way to behave especially at this level but I kinda understand them. Sometimes enough is ENOUGH!

Tracy McGrady, Tayshaun Prince, and Ben Wallace also missed shootaround Friday prior to the Sixers game, but all three had legitimate excuses, the person said. The Pistons' training staff confirmed to management that McGrady and Prince had been sick
