It's just a name dude, I know many people with a bachelors that aren't that smart just have the ability to spit stuff back in verbatim. Even working towards a masters I can tell you most of my peers are not that smart but just driven. I'm not saying Battier's dumb just not very well spoken obviously.

A couple. Look I'm still angry about this trade and had no idea Battier had close ties to Memphis. I hope he can find his way back to the Rockets at maybe $21million for 3 more seasons. We got room for that this off season.

Morey might have been busy finalizing the AB deal or working with the league office to make the trades official. I think Morey likely called soon after he got free.

I dont see why it would be necessary. Most of them are millionaires or close to it. In Battier's case I imagine he'll get a hotel for a week or so, then rent out a nice loft or something for the remainder of the season.
^^ forgot to add..i believe teams usually stick to the same hotels from year to year at every city, or try to. In Brooks' case, he can hit up Keith jones and ask for the info for the hotel they normally stay at. I wouldn't be surprised if KJ made the reservation for him though.
