Fan joins 49ers' huddle during game NEW ORLEANS -- A fan ran onto the field late in the fourth quarter of the San Francisco 49ers-New Orleans Saints game on Sunday. Otis Henry, 50, ran into the 49ers huddle carrying a pen and tried to autograph the jersey of center Jeremy Newberry, the players said. "He had a ball point pen and was trying to sign my shirt,'' Newberry, a center, said. "He could have stabbed me or something. How did he get out there untouched?'' Henry, a resident of New Roads, was charged with trespassing, according to Capt. Marlon Defillo, a spokesman for the New Orleans Police Department. He was on the field for several minutes before anyone realized that he didn't belong there. "He was offering his autograph,'' 49ers quarterback Jeff Garcia said. "He was a star in his own mind.'' Henry dodged a New Orleans police officer, but was tackled as he ran to the sideline by a San Francisco security officer. Police then subdued him and led him off the field.
i saw that and was wondering what he was doing. i thought he was going to get terrell owens autograph. as much as i understand the idea behind cameras not showing stupid stunts by fans on a sports field, i still wanted to see what he was up to!
