Sorry guys i really didn't want to make another one of these but i'm freaking scared.

i was sick and the doctors found out i have some bacterial infections. they prescribed me some antibiotics (which i'm sensitive to) and i haven't responded well.

one of them was penicillin, which i never had issues with. and now i'm on day 3 of another antibiotic and i'm getting severe reactions like pain in my joints.
it says to stop taking the drug and call my doctor if i have joint pain.

my friends noticed that i'm lacking energy lately.

Pain in joints could mean a reaction to the infection itself depending on what bacteria it is. Or it could very well be the antibiotics. But usually if ppl are not allergic to penicillin then it's safe to use other antibiotics as well. In any case, you should def get in touch with your doctor.

Good luck. I had Chronic Fatigue for 20 years until I finally got over a fungal infection in my sinuses.

well i had a reaction to penicillin recently so i switched to another antibiotic.
    i never had issues before.

the big warning was about tendon pain. i've taken 3 dosages, but it wasn't til the 2nd dose that i started getting side effects.

Did you get a solid diagnosis?

The hundred doctors I went to were never sure if it was viral, bacterial or fungal
    (and still really don't)

If it was a major warning then you're going to have to switch them out again. If it's a minor reaction then i would say just go through with the drug. but still ask your doc because most of the time there are multiple drug options for any single bacterial infection. A lot of ppl are allergic to PCN and other sulfa drugs but it's almost never life threatening.

no. they think it started with an untreated tooth infection. i saw the oral surgeon and he says that one tooth that is suspect looks fine under xrays but reacted differently under stress/temperature tests. have to go back and do more test, but if that's the source, then i need a root canal.

however that doesn't change that i need to get rid of the bacteria.

Take care of yourself - be aggressive seeing the doctors and calling their offices when things go downhill like this.

Hmm i had these symptoms last summer with a salmonella infection.
Joints hurt like eff, could barely walk.

If you have high temperature my advice is to stay in hospital so doctors can take a look at you 24/7.
If i hadn't done this i'd prolly be dead cuz i stopped breathing and fell into a coma day 3 in hospital and the doctors could react quick.

So if you really don't feel good and have symptoms like fever, pain in joints and feel weak my advice is to stay in hospital til you recover.

    Good luck Tinman!

I don't have any recommendations besides what has already been mentioned but hope you get better. Also when things get bad and you are really tired just think of the 1995 Rockets in game 7 of the WC Semifinals!

Good rest and good luck, Tinman.

You might feel like you're down 3-1 in the playoffs, but it's your duty as a 99er to bounce back!
