we had 2 superstars for 1 year? what happened after that? nothing. b level draft players and look at the rockets now.
I know you are posting on your troll account, but do you seriously believe Morey could have actually traded Yao? Les would never allow his cash cow to go to another team and you are crazy to think it could have happened.
actually im a fan of morey in terms of his draft picks. other than that, he's done nothing. accept the facts.
Solomon owned that press conference with his couple of questions. Also surprised at how many questions Blinebury was allowed to ask.
Look, it's disappointing I'm sure to everyone that Morey wasn't able to clearly upgrade the team. We all want more and that's fair, but It wasn't from a lack of trying. Could things have been done differently over the last couple of years to improve this team? Yes, sell high on Brooks, maybe trade Yao before the last break down. A lot of you may not agree, but Yao was worth the risk. If Yao was healthy(big if I know) then the Rockets would have had a greater chance at landing one or two of these superstars that pretty much chose their destinations. The landscape has changed a great deal over the last year. I believe Morey had this team in position to acquire star talent, but when the big meal ticket went down it made it much tougher. Yes, we hoped things would be different, they're obviously not yet. We'll have to see if anything can be done in the offseason, if not, it looks like we might have to draft well and hopefully develop our own stars. Maybe TWill can be one of those guys, he's got the talent but does he have the mindset? Maybe just a big freaking maybe, Thabeet works hard and at the very least becomes a dominant defensive presence. Only time will tell, it's not like we haven't been here before. It's not easy but it's part of being a Rocket fan, you live and die with them. Let's just hope we're not dead for too long.
How do you bring in superstars when you already have 2 superstars under long contracts? Answer me that.
Coming from a self-proclaimed stats genius you must be a real dope, or just lazy. http://www.google.com/search?q=jcde...&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=&oe= Do you ever plan on honoring your original bet to leave this place after embarassing yourself or are you cool with sticking around after a little groveling? http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=185272&page=1&pp=20 You couldn't even bring yourself to retire gracefully. One might think you'd have dissapeared by now with all your dissapointment in the Rockets.
Luis Scola Aaron Brooks Carl Landry Ron Artest Kyle Lowry Kevin Martin ...not superstars, but not bad either.
So...you're saying the Rockets aren't bad? Sweet...b/c I thought we had been bad for over a decade now. Sweet.
...oh hey guy, in case you didn't get the memo: THE HOUSTON ROCKETS ARE LITERALLY ONE OF THE WORST FRANCHISES IN THE NBA. NOW AND FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. PLEASE, LET ME REITERATE: THE HOUSTON ROCKETS ARE A GARBAGE FRANCHISE WITH NOTHING (and I mean NOTHING) TO LOOK FORWARD TO OR TO HOPE FOR. WE DON'T HAVE UPSIDE, WE DON'T HAVE INTANGIBLES, WE HAVE JACK SQUAT IN THE 'PEOPLE WANNA COME HERE' CATEGORY. FACE IT: WE SUCK. It's cute that you want to believe and that the garbage time moves you talk about above make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Bottom line: Daryl Morey is an absolute failure. Anyone who argues with that fact is a mark. An easy f..king mark. I was one, I'm done. I'm done believing in the Morey fairy tale. The man has failed. Period.
Why? B/C I don't approve of your god's plan? Get the F over yourself, dbag. Houston is my city and I'll rep it till I die. Just b/c some stat geek and you tell me I need to chill for another decade while this loser gets his act together and "puts his team together" doesn't mean sh... to me. I'll rep Houston till the day I die. Dbags like you, Morey and Kubiak will never change that. I don't care how red your stache is, yes man.
I understand that you are disappointed that we, like 25 other teams, did not get one of the two big stars that were on the market this time. However, you are acting like a little child whose lollipop was taken away. I will remember to pull up your posts here once Morey makes the next good trade to bring us closer to contention. Only problem is that you might not be here by then.
...and for the record, I've always appreciated your opinions and rarely find myself disagreeing with your posts. You're way off here, though. This crap has gotten out of hand. I'm not about to blame Morey for the ABSOLUTE SUCKAGE that has besieged the city of Houston...but I will hold him accountable for not keeping the Rox competitive. F the situation he was handed. I'm sick of the excuses...how man GM's are handed the keys to a winning franchise? The man KNEW what Yao and Tmac were capable of in the "failure" department. He absolutely KNEW the risks he was taking relying on those guys. He failed...MISERABLY with those guys and whatever he decided to do to fill in behind them. You guys love to paint him as some freakin' wizard but we have gotten worse and WORSE with every year Morey has been at the helm. Period.
All I hear is wah wah wah. At least there are people here willing to accept the situation (like we have any power to do anything) and see the bigger picture. You can call yourself a full time fan but coming here and whining and calling other people dbags doesnt make you look any better. If you think Morey could have done better, please enlighten us. Till then, shutup.
