Craig Roberts of Channel 2 news said something to the effect of "The Rockets fully expect to re-sign Mobley but cant do that till Tuesday"

    What is going on?!?!?!?!?!?!

Tuesday, August 1st, is the first day players and teams can officially conduct business and sign on the dotted line.

I'm sure what he meant was why is one sportscaster saying the report is totally false and another completely agreeing with it? Doesn't make sense at all. What is the real story here? Sure wish there was a way to find out.

You don't think the Rockets "fully expect to re-sign" Mobley? I don't see where his report is either agreeing or disagreeing with anything.

I just hope Mobley does whatever he wants to do on the August 1st and gets it over with so we can plan for our next championship!

Did Roberts mention any alleged contract info?

I love when things are all screwed up, and we don't find out the real story for several days.

I'm predicting that NBAtalk reports tomorrow that Cuttino and his agent are appealing the CBA, by dropping out of the player's union, and signing with the Lakers, for 1 dollar over the league max ($9,000,001), even though the Lakers are over the cap. [IMG]

The more lefties on your team, the better.
Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. How can you go wrong?
    Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.

If they are saying the report is false, then they fully hope to have Mobley resign. If you're the Rockets, you don't just expect him to resign when your last word from him was that it was 50/50. If you expect him to resign, obviously that means Cat gave them his word or something like that. There's a big difference.

Nope, Craig Roberts did not quote any salary figures. This is essentially the same thing that Andy Katz said on ESPN News.

I'm sure we are all awaiting word from chron.com when they update tomorrows edition any minute now. That should add some more confusion.
