Agreed. Don't know why people are so upset that Brooks and Battier were traded. What good would it have been to kept those two expiring contracts?

Did you see what Dwight Howard did as a rookie versus Favors? Not even comparable.

Favors right now is not as good as you are making him out to be. Otherwise the Nets would not be trading such a surefire thing for a Dwill that can bolt a year from now. He needs consistent minutes? Has Thabeet ever gotten consistent minutes?

College is different. Omar Samhan dominated in college, where is he now? Besides Thabeet dominated on defense in college (2x Dpoy), was a top 5 draft pick the entire time and coming into the NBA scouts were sure eventually he'd be a good shotblocker. It's not like he's been scrubbing it up in college and got picked solely on his size.

Cousins has been a monster in the NBA in his short time. Comparing him to Favors or Thabeet is a disservice because he's flashed his potential many times already.

Rookie Dwight Howard won ROY and averaged a triple double.

This draft is bad. Just take a look at the number one pick. Derrick Williams?! Really?!

It does, however, have its gems in it (like every draft ever). And luckily we have a GM who has been known to find them.

    Possible gems:
Kemba, Jimmer, McCamey, Klay Thompson, Tristan Thompson, JaJuan Johnson. I like all of these dudes.

What a bunch of babies, Brooks was driving his value down each and every game. He still will get paid by a crap team, we would never resign him. I think I've seen enough of the kmart Brooks backcourt to know it won't work defensively. Will Brooks regain his form? Maybe, maybe not, but a true pg he will never be. This season has showed a lot about his character. At this point dragic and a pick was all we could get for a player who was most likely not returning.

Don't even get me started on battier and the hate this board would spew toasted him on the reg. We now have plenty of young talent that can develop. We were not gonna win a ring anytime soon, I wish him the best but I rather watch twill and cbud get playing time. Thabeet is a nice side project, like other have said he can learn plenty from coaching, even chuck Hayes will be able to teach him a lot.
