Aaron Brooks made being a Rockets fan great the last two years. That Lakers playoff series was nothing short of amazing, and I thought we found a future franchise player. Aaron's shooting, speed, and aggressiveness to drive the ball in the lane was a fun thing to watch and made the game exciting (even without a playoff appearance last year). Congrats on being last year's Most Improved Player and my favorite player in the entire league last year. This year just wasn't right. If AB hadn't have sprained his ankle in that Spurs game November 6, things may have been different. AB might have been the same player we came to love on the court. I understand his frustrations of this season, but it was time to move on. I wish Aaron Brooks the best in Pheonix and hope to see him at Toyota Center next month when the Suns take on the Rockets.
Made a mistake trading Brooks, am a huge fan of his. I dont blame him for walking out, frustration, injury, rotation got to him this year and his game has suffered because of it. Thanks for the memories AB, when Nash is traded hes going to blow up in PHX.
I will appreciate him even more if he improves enough to take over the Suns so they can deal Nash to us.
He will fit right in behind Nash, whether he likes the idea or not. I will miss having him on the team. I thought he brought speed with decent control, and that's hard to come by. His shot got much better as he went on, until lately. Shame how things went down this year, but he had a good run here. Thanks, AB. Guess my signed AB photo just lost a little value. THEY GROW UP SO FAST! *thinks about crying*
yeah all that so he could walk out on the team, now he's traded and no longer a rocket, so ROFL in your face. ROFL in your face some more, you get out.
Little black bean!!!! Man it sucks that he had to go. He was one of my favorite guys, loved his sense of humor and his never-die attitude. Thanks for the 2009 playoff run, it was one of the few bright moments in recent Rocket's history. The guys who are saying "he walked out on the team", get over yourselves. He makes one little mistake and you guys are ready to crucify him like he sold your babies to mexico for cheap crack or something. Sometimes people get angry and frustrated. According to you, if someone storms out of a business meeting they should be fired immediately and never allowed to work anywhere in their whole lives, and their pictures should be put up on dartboards. ??? Don't be so stupid and arrogant.

Most of those people didn't want him on the court anyway, so it was really just another chance for them to bash the guy. I mean him leaving the court should make them happy, right? Anyway, they get the best of both worlds b/c they can slag him off for it. I for one will miss the only Rocket point guard to make a difference in the playoffs since Maloney in '97.
Can you not read? This is an appreciation thread. Anyways, thank you AB for everything you've done for the Rockets. Wish you the very best and hope you can improve your game under the guidance of Steve Nash.
Dragic won't start. He's kind of like AB in that he's a score first kind of guy. Doesn't have great assist numbers or court vision. Plus he turns it over a lot. He can play more 2 than AB though, since he isn't small. I bet he can do fine guarding some 2's.
