I assume we were the ones who put the skids on that deal. I can definitely see Portland wanting AB and Battier a lot more than I can see Houston wanting Camby.

Didn't the deadline deals made by Morey the last 2 years happen right at the deadline? I'm pretty sure they weren't even announced until after the deadline had passed.

no, he wasn't gonna do that deal straight up for a 36 year old center in a year where we're not gonna win it all and camby's on the way out the door afterwards

 

If he gets bought out I'm sure Miami will come a calling....

The best thing about this is wherever Camby may go, it sniffs of Portland dropping out of the playoff hunt.

 

Morey's problem is the lack of predictability , too much care about the details and data, not the team's business strategy, so he is suitable as a senior consultant , but not suitable as general manager

 

Would love this deal. It fills our needs.
