    Langhi 16 pts 8-14fg 4 rebs
Kenny Thomas showed much improvement after the first half. Tractor Trailer schooled Kenny and all the other center we put against him the first half but Tractor could not hang in the second. Kenny was playing very physical, some thing I have not really seen to much.

Yeah, the Axe is looking pretty good. I wonder what the chances of him making the team are. He certainly fits the team well. He would get the nod over Tyronne Washington from me from what I've seen of them thus far, but I don't know if I would take the Axe over Pig or T-Mass.

It wasn't too long ago that I thought Collier might be quick enough to make a run at significant minutes at the PF spot. After watching him play a few times, I'm left wondering if he's quick enough to play backup center!

Kenny T was certainly unimpressive in the first half, but then really turned it on in the second half. He looked pretty good. He even MADE one of his threes! You don't see that very often.

Langhi is really looking great. Pair him with Moochie off the bench, and that's some pretty good firepower. If Mobley stays, our bench will be lethal!!!!!!!!!

I was really impressed with Dan Langhi. He showed a lot of quickness for a guy that tall. I was also impressed with Washington's defense and Thomas's all around play.

Actually, I liked what I saw from Collier today more than any other game. Collier was physical today guys. I think he did a good job when he was on Mihm and also played good help defense. He swatted one shot back to about half court. He was also rebounding really well, and as I said was finally a physical presence. His stats were unimpressive though because the Rockets continued to give it to KT and not Collier in the post for practically every possesion, for what reason I don't understand. I mean, we can't expect Collier to be a stat marvel when we team won't even let him touch the ball, and it seemed like that today, esp. in the 2nd half.

Dan Langhi really lit it up again today. I saw a lot of the same positives today as in the Utah game. Langhi is really coming along well and should be a rotation player with the Rockets this season.

Jason Collier really did not get enough opportunites in the post again today as the Rockets kept feeding to KT a lot once again. Why they keep doing this I dont know. I still think he will be a good player with the Rockets. I like the way he plays a 2 man game with the guards which I think will become very effective with Francis.

Tyrone Washington looks relatively raw still on offense, but I still want him to be on the team b/c of his defensive abilty. The Rockets big men were really getting pushed around by Traylor, but I noticed that when Washington entered, he did an excellent job holding his ground. Kenny Thomas was absolutely man handled by Traylor today. I know it sounds harsh, but there is no other way to really describe it. KT was doing a horrific job of holding his ground as Traylor was able to get positioning close to the basket at will. The Rockets needed a big physical presence, and Washington provided that for the little time he was in. I wish they wouldve played him more.

Dan Langhi looked great today. Once again his shot selection was great and he just let the game come to him. The guy has such patients for a rookie. He play a key role with the Rocks this year.

First off Dan is the real deal. He has more NBA game then anyone else out there today including Mihm. I wasn’t overly impressed with Mihm. While he did play moderately well against Collier I don’t expect him to be anywhere near as effective against legit NBA centers. Whereas Langhi’s game is NBA legit and will only get better. He can shoot from anywhere on the court. He can drive the hoop pull up and then swish and he can run the court. He is more athletic than I imagined. He picked up a board over a group of Cavs and slammed it back in. He almost completed a difficult alley-oop, in Cato style! If he is not starting by mid season I will be surprised. He is perfect for the Rockets up tempo. I have visions of Francis driving and then dishing to Langhi. SWOOOOSH! I lik Walt but I think Langhi will be an improvement. If Cat doesn’t resign maybe Walt can backup the 2 and the 3.

Alex Dench looked good but I don’t know if we have room for him at the PF spot. K thomas looked good the second half if he were a few inches taller and 20 pds heavier are Pspot would set for years. Jason Collier is a project. But I haven’t given up hope on him. He is more physical than Mihm but that isn’t saying much. He was mainly being used as a postup player and I don’t see him being very affective against NBA centers doing that, maybe the PF’s. I think the real way he can help the team is if he can draw the centers and PF’s out because he has a legit NBA outside shot and that has yet to be established. Anyway I think Langhi was the steal of the 2nd round and the rockets will be better this year partly because of him.

The game was great. I really like Langhi alot. He's vocal... a true competitor.

On Collier, I really think that Axel Dench is the superior player. He does alot more with the little time that he gets the ball. Remember, Steve Francis isn't going to give the ball to Collier 20 times a game for him to develop.

    great news:

I talked to Carroll Dawson again today. I asked him if Cuttino was coming back and he said:

"It looks really good, but I won't breathe easy until he signs".

The emphasis on really was mine, but I just wanted to make sure that you guys read it. [IMG]

The thing about the big men i saw today was that they all can run the court. Rudy T has done a good job of getting guys who can get up and down the court. Though the defense was JUST a disaster. It was like Collier was trying to block everything instead of playing his man and getting his feet set. He looked like a 7-foot pole out there. Collier was lost. Kenny Thomas though was just as bad, i could'nt believe, big man Tractor could make the Rockets look like little kids on defense even though the Rockets have size. Though the only Bright spot for the Rockets was Langhi, i knew this guy has game but damn this guy fits perfectly with the Rockets. He's going to be a major factor to the Rocks season and i'm sure he will be in the Rookie All-star game, his shot is amazing, the scary thing is he has kind of played layed back, if he works harder, we've got a Croshere!!!

    Ok,

Here is my take on the game.

Langhi is going to be a VERY..VERY nice player. I just hope he stays in 2 years when he becomes a free agent. He is highly intelligent and makes good..no GREAT basketball decisions. What a steal.

Collier looks a bit raw, BUT, I saw him work the pick and roll 3 times early, and he was open each time. He has basketball smarts, and that alone will help him improve. I like this guy as a backup, and maybe a spot starter.

Moochie, it was his 27th birthday today, and he is clearly more confident of his game. He shoots well, plays decent D and dishes to the hot man...LANGHI !! Mooch has a home.

KT looked uninterested in the first half, and he got run over by a tractor. In the 2nd half he played with fire and emotion. He may never reach his potential if he does not hustle all the time.

The rest of the team looked below average at best. I don't think any of them will make the final roster.

    So to recap...I LOVE LANGHI'S game !!!

    DaDakota

again it's just Summer League but: [IMG]
I think alot of us owe Lanky, I mean Langhi an apology, he's lookin' real nice,
Collier was alot better the other day and I'm still not sure, if he's playin' Center how he'll handle the Zo's in the league, but I gotta have faith.
Also whats up w/ Moochie No ?
I guess it was his birthday but that D.C. street ball was really tight today! Does anybody know if he's a done deal? Is Mooch definetly aon the roster?

Yeah Langhi looked sharp again today! I think he could've had another 10 pts if everybody would've dished the way they should have. I almost believe he could play some guard ,he looks quick enough and pretty nice ball handling also. Then we have Collier, he may have some offense but he's a liability on defense and rebounding it seems to me. He just lets people have too good of position for a big guy, really needs to fight more, and then again he does get alot of silly fouls too. He just has a long way to go for him to make a contribution as for as I'm concerned. But thats just me,again!

Langhi looks to be a real good prospect. I ragged on him when we drafted him but he has game, hard to believe since he looks like a stick. He's been really impressive and I apologize for my earlier comments about him. Collier on the other hand is disappointing. I expected him to be the standout on the Rockets Revue team.

How about the Tractor? This guy has talent, it was rather unfortunate he had to play for George Karl for so long. He still needs to lose some weight but he can move pretty well for a big man and has nice touch. Plus he can get up for the dunk. The Rockets should've made a move for him last year since he was in the doghouse all year long.

    DaDakota,

I believe we wrapped Langhi up in a 3rd yr team option. Talk about learning from the Mobley mistake.

you know you cant really see iwhat collier can do at this time.i mean when we start playing in a normal offense we can start coming down on him.but he needs someone to drop it down or get him the ball (unlike langhi he isnt very good at finding or creating his own shot).

but on another note he doesnt look like he could really rebound over anyone, and i would like to know if he could pass out to the perimeter.

    whatsupdogg,

    you are right....ahhhhhhh

"Langhi, a 6-11 forward and last year's Southeastern Conference player of the year, made an oral agreement for one year with an option for another, Langhi's agent Bill Duffy told the station."
