Picks i think. they are trying to lowball us.

One of the things i'm hoping for out of this trade deadline is retaining Lee. If that happens, it will partially make my day. now, if we could actually improve the team ...

The thing is, in today's NBA there are not that many superstar centers. If you build the right pieces all you need is a serviceable guy that can do everything you need and have the focal points be all your other players.

Everyone makes it seem that there is an abundance of super talented big men in the league. Everyone was hoping to land Dampier or Chandler but they aren't willing to take a 7 footer who's young and can get better over time.

It's been rumored that we'd consider 2 picks for Lee but that Chi won't sweeten the deal beyond a single 1st rounder.

Dood, I think Lee's a goner and the same for Battier, Hill and possibly Brooks. I'm expecting something out of left field.

Well Bulls make it clear they don't wanna trade Noah, but if we give them back Miller, Miller with Boozer and with rookie Asik whom they hold so tight dearly, I think they can further develop their front court with a backup like Miller, who knew their system...

I think the reason we offered 15mil for Miller is because we are desperate for size back then as backup for Yao and it seems that Miller was one of the better options... but turns out to be a slightly below average trade actually... same case with Scola and Kyle... I think we slightly overpaid for them because we do not extend their contract and for the fear they might go to other team so we sign them big.

A 1st for Lee? Yeah because clearly we can find someone better than Lee with the 26th pick....

I think we shouldnt deal with Chicago. This GM is like Morey only he always tries to get the better end of the deal no matter what. So I hope Morey moves on. They will fall in the first or second round misjudging theirs and ours position. We dont need a center that bad to contend right now because we are not contending. We can wait even longer and draft one next year. Id rather draft one or do something else and keep Lee than give them Lee for nothing. At leat we keep a young sold player who can replace Martin if we end up trading him later or something. We have time now. Center is not that important when you are not winning anyways and rebuilding.

I've said from the beginning of the this rumor that if we can get the Charlotte No.1 that Chicago owns for Lee, we should do it.

I said earlier if they want Lee so badly, then we should ask for Noah and Brewer in return for Lee and we trade them Miller and NY 2011 1st rounder to sweeten the deal for them

Asik is a decent backup center, with plenty of potential to develop into something more (don't be crazy, there's a ceiling). He's been good in his short spurts of playing time (he appears to get winded easily, and has to take breathers, im assuming they're gonna work on his conditioning throughout the season) When he does come in, he's very active, getting rebounds, weak side blocks, and helping provide a trapping presence in corners on D. He is really weak though, but Chicago has had a good record of turning weak post men into something stronger in the last few years (just look at Noah, he was a mess when he got drafted).

He's no starting Center though, which is why I'm puzzled why Houston is so hung up over him. Only way this makes sense in the long run for Houston is if they're plannin on adding more pieces around Asik/Martin because Asik by himself really does very very little to improve Houston immediately. If he does end up starting at Center, he's gonna be strictly defense with no offense except tip ins and putbacks.

I say we don't make a deal at all unless it imporves us now or in the future. Some of you are acting like that fat kid at the lunch tabe with a roast beef sandwich and mashed photatos. Since no one is offering gravy, he trades his roast beef for PB&J, even thoughit doesn't go with his photatos. Everyone around him is making a deal and he doesn't wanna be"left out". Only to find out 20 minutes later, Pb&J doesn't go well with photatos. Maybe the roast beef sandwich would have been better even without the gravy......

wow, wow, wow, wow. just the other day your private parts were bleeding all over this board because of how much you hated the c lee for trevor ariza deal. Now you are calling C lee a "starting championship potential guard".

just a few days ago you would have been saying that keith bogans is better than courtney lee because keith bogans starts for a team with a better record. what happened?

Yeah I know they are not intending to trade Noah, but then again these are my speculations... if they are desperated enough who knows they might snap...

Charlotte isn't going to be picking in the top 5, and you don't trade young proven talent for the ~11th pick in what's going to be the worst draft since 2000.
