I just wouldnt give them Courtney Lee without Asik. They dont want quality SG to cover the myriad of SGs who they will face in the playoffs? Thats their problem. They likely lose to the first team with a star guard lineup. They are not getting past Rondo and Ray Allen with just Rose and scrub next to him. Lee would be perfect but oh well. They like them some backup bigs.

Here is some info on him. He's young but definitely is a shot blocker.

I don't like the bigs that Houston is asking, especially Thabeet.... Doesn't see any potential in him... there is a reason why he did not make it so far... If he has potential, he would have put up some good stats by now... Don't understand why so many ppl are so hopeful of him developing...

I hope we don't make a trade for a big guys out of desperation... I know Morey will not do that...

Whilst true, it's kind of ridiculous that both sides are so hung up over Omer Asik.

The guy's better than Thabeet, I'll give you that, and is a very very good rebounder on a per minute basis, but is there really some great upside there? Upside? Sure, which is why the Rockets want him...

but for the Bulls to be stubborn about it seems a little odd.

Size matters, but having Keith Bogans playing a ton of minutes for you at the 2 guard is a much bigger problem for them.

From the Rocket's perspective, Lee is probably one of the better "contracts" on the team. He's a solid backup 2 guard behind Kevin Martin, but could also start if need be, and is paid cheaply. In a full on rebuild mode, Lee would be one of the guys to rebuild with, imo.

yes, I am willing to trade anything on our team for Noah, Nene, Chandler, or a real proven center...

Morey has horrible judgement when it comes to centers, he got that loser from Europe, overpaid a 35 year old washed up center, and is about to add another garbage center

We need to keep Lee. Once battier is gone he is the only guy in our backcourt that plays defense.

Just out of curiosity, who do you think he should have gotten instead of those guys?

...and we aren't getting Noah. Period.

I may have missed this, but what the hell are the Bulls trying to offer if not Asik? Do they want him or not?

I can't believe Morey would ship Lee out for Asik. Makes no sense whatsoever the more I think about it.

    C.Lee or Omar Asik?
Definately want C.Lee. Even though we need a big I don't think Asik is the answer. The way I look at this is if we trade C.Lee in the future we would be looking for a player like him when we get more pieces for a championship caliber team.

Let me ask you. How much of Asik's game have you seen that you are calling him garbage? The guy plays about 10 minutes a game and still manages to average close to 5 rebounds and a block during that time. The fact that he's a big that plays like a big is a lot more than what we have right now.

I'm not saying we do the deal but at the same time there is a reason that the Bulls want to keep him. He is raw and still needs to polish his offensive game but we don't need offense out of the center position right now. We need size and someone who can guard the other bigs in the league and give us some much needed size.

Yeah your right. Except they are the ones who needCourtney Lee for their Championship run. I think Morey should look elsewhere. I am already tired of the prospect of Thabeet and Asik two varitable scrubs for the likes of Brooks and Courtney Lee possibly. At least two very good rotation players. Why not Courney Lee and Brooks for a solid starter from some other team instead from Morey?
