I would give up a 2012 first, a 2014 first, AB, Scola and Budinger for Williams.

While on the subject of random things that won't happen there's:

Brooks+Martin for Granger+Hibbert (could throw in Hill and salaries would still work)
    +
    Battier+Chase for Mayo+Henry

    Lowry/Ish/Williams
    Lee/Mayo
    Granger/Henry
    Scola/Patterson
    Hibbert/Hayes/Miller

    Ya, not happening.

    I would like this trade!

    Line-up:

    PG: Lowry/Ish
    SG: Martin/Lee/T-Will
    SF: Wallace/Battier/Bud
    PF: J-Smith/Hill/Pat
    C: Hayes/Miller/Zaza

We could still make a trade. Battier/Hill for ...

Obtaining Wallace and Josh Smith seems redundant so why not Marvin Williams instead in the following trade:

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4odjbfe

    PG:Lowry/Brooks/Ish
    SG:Martin/Lee/T-Will
    SF:M-Williams/Budinger
    PF:J-Smith/Hill/Hayes
    C:Zaza/Miller/Yao

Scola + Brooks + Yao(Saves $8Mil. on Yao's insurence OR they can choose Battier+Jefferies+Hill instead of Yao)

    for

    Randolph + Mayo + Thabeet

then we trade NY's 1st pick plus Yao OR Battier+Jefferies+Hill

    for Wallace+Mohammed

Roster to push for 8th seed this year:

    Mohamed, Hayes, Thabeet
    Randolph, Patterson, Miller
    Wallace, Budinger
    K. Martin, Lee, T-Will
    K. Lowry, Mayo, Ish

I think we can still make the playoff with this lineup and maybe even upset the #1 or #2 seed in first round.

Philly is awfully quiet. I know they're playing well and that probably has something to do with it. So maybe they're playing so well that they want an established player to help them in the playoffs? Brooks! Thaddeus Young is a beast. He's probably better as a PF than a SF (I'd be fine with trading Scola separately, having Hayes start and Young coming off the bench until next year when he'd start). They probably won't trade him, but stranger things have happened. We take Speights too, who gets little run but has some potential. We give them the awesome Hill to help ease the pain.

I like where you're going with these trades though I think they might look a little different. I'm a big fan of Mohammed as a stopgap C this year and maybe we draft a young C or trade for a younger C at draft time. I think Cha has no clue b/c Jordan is an idiot so there's a possibility. And all this talk about Memphis had me considering Randolph being added to their deal. BUT, the drug suspicions with him over the summer probably halt that idea.

I'd rather go after Jeff Green. Durant and Westbrook are running the show and will get paid. Not enough money left for Green and Harden ... Green is also a beast and could be our starting SF for years to come! He can also play PF in a smaller line-up.

Trade Scola to OKC, they need a low post offensive player if they want to be contender in the West. IMO, they are already a contender but with Scola they would be a bigger contender than they already are.

It's cheap...lol that's what they want to do. I doubt THAT would get it done, but you see what I'm saying.

Well they do get rid of Wallace, add a starting pg, expiring contract and a good role player with hops like MJ.

I'm calling it... i think this happens:

    Memphis/ Rockets:
Rockets receive: OJ Mayo and Hasheem Thabeet

Memphis receives: Aaron Brooks and Shane Battier

    Bulls/ Rockets:
    Rockets receive: Omer Asik

Bulls receive: Courtney Lee and Brad Miller

    Wolves/ Rockets:
    Rockets receive: Jonny Flynn

Wolves receive: Jared Jeffries, (possible 2nd rd pick, with tons of protection)

    ---------------------------------

    Rockets come away with:
    PG: Jonny Flynn 22yrs old
    PG/SG: OJ Mayo 23yrs old
    C: Hasheem Thabeet 24yrs old
    C: Omer Asik 24yrs old

    they lose:
    PG:Aaron Brooks (lol) 26yr old
    SG: Courtney Lee 25yr old
SF: Shane Battier 32 yr old
PF: Jared Jeffries 30 yr old
C: Brad Miller 35 yr old

I put the ages to show how much younger the Rockets would get...
