The Trail Blazers appear to be shifting toward standing pat at the trading deadline after several flirtations with teams ran into dead ends, perhaps because of a conflict of philosophy between owner Paul Allen and first-year general manager Rich Cho. A source late Tuesday night was informed the Blazers were leaning toward holding tight at the Thursday deadline, while another source said he was told “nothing was imminent” on the Blazers' trade front. One agent with a client on the Blazers said it appears the Blazers are engaged in a philosophical struggle in the front office. WFU Guy, you should post here more often. We welcome fans of other teams, especially ones that are able to have an intelligent conversation. Welcome to clutch.
Close the thread, he's not coming and not the impact player Morey was referring to. It was Cousins and he was going to come here in a 3-way sending Deron to Sac, Cousins to Rockets. Only don't know what Rockets had to give up.
Nobody know... And probably will never know! Maybe he was after other SAC players, or UTAH players, or some from SAC and some from UTAH! The guy is working hard... Let's hope for the best! He needs a lot of coffe!
The real story... Gerald Wallace was a rookie on a Kings team that was contending for a championship with many solid veterans who had played together for years under Adelman. Gerald was a fan favorite because he could really jump and dunk. However, on a serious team, that doesn't go very far. He was very inconsistent and very rough in all other parts of his game. Winning every game was essential at the time and there wasn't room to mess around with a greenie. Adelman liked him, and Wallace was only moved because of the expansion in Charlotte at the time, and the Kings had to leave someone unprotected. It wasn't until Wallace played for 4-5 more seasons that he started to grow up and learn the game and become a solid player.
What are you saying - that CFs are impatient and want instant results? Well, what are you waiting for, answer me...
Yep, the Warriors tried to get rid of him for months, and Charlotte was the only team that would take him.
Personally, looking for all these guards or small forwards seems like a waste of time to me. We need a good defensive center. A center would make all the difference on this team.

And you have in mind who????? Realistically speaking which "good" defensive center is out there for the taking.
That's Morey's job. I'm just saying what we need that will make a difference. Swapping guards won't make a difference.
Actually, he wanted to come here (to CLT) - that was pretty well publicized. Looking at your comments, I get that your opinion of him is significantly low but that shouldn't cloud the fact that off the court (in his recent years) he's been a model citizen and there are folks from Don Nelson to Donnie Walsh to Larry Brown to local reporters in SF and CLT as well as teammates like Tim Duncan that think very highly of him. He also has been given community awards and does a lot of charity work with kids. And I don't know that he's ever been tossed from a critical game of the Bobcats. He's an emotional guy and that comes through poorly at times - but (I at least) don't hold that against him - he's a heck of a competitor. He'll get his T's - so does Dwight Howard (and watching them in tandem, I'd say the refs give Howard a much longer leash than they do Jax) but I don't see folks calling him out for it (like they do Jackson).
