I'm feeling relatively unphased by it all. I'd like to get some better players, but I'm not overly impressed by many of the guys who have been mentioned in the past few months.

I can't Help but feel like the West is a lot weaker. I hope we dont make the Playss on a technicality. Because we really are gonna really need a Superstar and right now it looks like that is only coming from a draft pick. If we had a really good rook with a lot of the pieces we have right now we could be a threat next season. Kinda like Rose and Noah with the Bulls but a little different.

On another noteI was freaking out this Morning. I can see how Gms can do silly stuff in the heat of the moment. Especially on a morning like this. I was b****ing this morning but Morey is doing the best he can to get this team. Even if we don't get the superstar I know we won't get screwed and that's a good feeling.

Harris and Favors are never going to be stars.

No, I'm not smoking too much crack. The Rockets have enough assets: picks, Yao's expiring, & young talent to have satisfied the Jazz's needs for Deron Williams. Derrick Favors could potentially be a bust there is no way to guarantee he will be a star he hasn't shown much promise this season as the 2ND OVERALL PICK in the previous draft; athleticism isn't everything in the league i.e. Stromile Swift, Shawn Williams out of Boston College. So the Rockets did have enough assets to give the Jazz a deal worth looking into and taking.

I agree with this. Utah made a bigger gamble than Nets did with Deron Williams possible resigning elsewhere. Favors is gonna be a bust and Harris was good like three years ago for one season.

It does not matter. Jazz will lose big and draft their star themselves again.

ENOUGH WITH THE "ASSETS"!!!! MAKE A MOVE!

TRADE 30 SOMETHINGS FOR DRAFT PICKS & LET THE WORLD KNOW YOU'RE REBUILDING! STOP SELLING THE FANS THIS LOAD OF B.S. ABOUT "ASSETS"!!! ITS STUPID!
NOBODY WANTS THE CRAP YOU'RE SELLING AS BIG TIME ASSETS!

They aren't going to lose big and we'll see how they fare in the draft with the picks they got. You actually think a team of Harris, Millsap, Jefferson, AK is going to get a high lotto pick anytime soon? That's still a better team than the Rockets have lol.

They have enough time to unload these contracts.

I think if Jazz is mean enough, they might get into the lottery as soon as next season.

    Favors is a bust!

At least that's what people would saying if he was a young Yao Ming who was only averaging 6 points a game.

I agree that athleticism doesn't mean everything. There are plenty of players that can finish above the rim in the NBA but the ones that stick in the league are the ones that have high basketball IQ's or guys that have an offensive game. So far Favors hasn't shown either of the above mentioned.

I'm happy it's Western Conference teams sending away their best players, especially 2 teams that the Rockets need to lose.

You have a strange definition of the word fact. Do you have a link to this inrefutable "slope". Are either of those rosters better than San Antonio, Orlando, Miami, LA, Boston, Dallas or hell even Chicago, Atlanta or Oklahoma?

So good for them, they went from being celler dwellers to being first round cannon fodder (if that, New Jersey if too far gone to even make the playoffs) and in the case of New York they just mortgaged the next five years on a team that is undersized and doesn't play a lick of defense. New Jersey just got Williams with no extention signed so they could lose him in a season and a half I he decides to bolt.

So they may be markedly better for next season but we're already first round canon fodder without having to gut our roster or mortgage our future. So what's the difference?

The bottom line is, as long as Favors does not get enough playing time, his potential alone will be a huge asset. This time Favors can get Nets Williams, next time he could get Jazz something good too. It will take good GM work to evaluate Favors and his trade value.

    Potential sells in NBA.

We do have a top 10 scorer in Kevin Martin. We're not far way I say one big time player away without losing too much of the Bench pieces and no current starters. I feel god about that also

I feel that the way Utah and Denver have played their cards we have a good chance to put up a good stretch of games and make the Playoffs, specially if we can make a good trade.
Nothing spectacular, just someone who covers one or more needs.
