Best On the Waterfront (Great movie) Casablanca (Classic tough guy in Bogart, "I don't stick my neck out for nobody") Forest Gump (Full of win; the story of post WW II America) The Sting (Classic psychological comedy, or a movie that makes you "think" ) Rain Man (Make it rain!) Worst Annie Hall (over Star Wars? The greatest snub since Jim Brown not winning the Heisman) Deer Hunter (Very depressing movie) Terms of Endearment ( why?) The Last Emperor (Thank god it was the last; Full Metal Jacket should have won, and wasn't even nominated. The best of the Vietnam movies Hollywood made in the late 70's and 80's) Titanic (over As Good as it Gets )

Why do you constantly antagonize everyone that doesn't agree with you? This is supposed to be a more tolerant board than must, yet you are constantly making sweeping generalizations about people and being insulting to them when they state their opinions. Of course you're free to state your opinions in any matter you choose, I just don't understand why you can't just let **** go. When you hijack a thread like this, which to the OP's credit was a great idea, it drops a giant steaming load on something that started out pretty fun. And to preemptively answer any of your questions, I haven't been in grade school for a long, long time, I understood Braveheart and think it's a fine picture, and I don't give a rats a$$ if someone else on this board thinks it's crap since the movie was given loads of awards and made tons of money and is generally very well regarded. Oh and when you're using "history" as a reason to like or dislike a film, don't use Braveheart for the sake of your argument. It is littered with historical inaccuracies.
