I wish we could get rid of that sniper in the DC area. He just struck again tonight 60 miles outside of DC.

With T Mo down for 6 weeks, I think we need Rice more than we thought when we started this thead.

The main difference between the Hornets Rice & the Rockets Rice is that Rice was the Hornets 1st option & now he's the 3rd or 4th option. Those 2 treys he hit against Portland were classic in the flow form. His legs looked like they were in good shape. IF he can stay healthy, he'll be a big part of the Rockets success this season!!!

When Rice was at Charlotte - did he play defense?? If not, did he at least move around a little?

I heard his wife is beautiful, but mean-

9 mil a year-who cares? Les has plenty of money....

We could probably get 2 good role olayers for that money though......

If we thought that Rice was going to be the same as he was in Charlotte, the Knicks wouldn't trade him for Shandon Anderson.

BUT, if we get from him the same production they got from him in NY, it would be incredible.

With T-Mo down, Boki not looking comfortable, Rice and KT will play lots of minutes at the 3. When T-Mo is back and Boki is healed, then KT can be traded and Rice can still start but play less and less minutes as we approach the playoffs, then his minutes can go up again during the playoffs.

How can you be sure? He has looked good so far...

I hope you weren't too annoyed when he hit those threes the other day... :p

He slows us down? How? Boki going 0-5 sped us up? Give the guy a chance to shake some rust off and he will be just fine.

Go pick on Cato in the nicest way...

I have to agree... He is only good for a few 3 pointers... and warming a seat on the bench!

A few three pointers, toss in a couple free throws and a couple 2 pointers and he's got 15 points a game. Not bad... :p

Good Question!!! Maybe you could start a poll and we could vote her off the board, or at least teach her how to post threads.:)

Prob. the biggest mistake the rockets had made in the last 2 seasons. They should of let Anderson go.

    Hindsight is always 20-20.

However, in this case, I think your view is myopic. Rice will be a real force for the Rockets this year simply because other teams fear leaving him alone to double team Ming, Francis or Griffin.

Can't u take a joke. The guy is just trying to have fun. He's trying to let Yao know that despite him being 7'5 and despite him being the #1 pick he is still a rookie. Come on, be real

I saw Rice Friday night in St. Louis and he look pretty good. he is a leader on the floor and probably off as well. He looks like he feels good, and I expect a nice comeback season if all continues to go well. Plus I met him after the game and got a picture taken with him. He was about the only Rocket to come out of the locker room and greet fans after he got dressed. He was very friendly to Saleem (fellow poster) and myself. He is a really classy guy and I wish him the best.
