What I don't understand is... If Fox isn't happy with a show, why kill it? Why not sell it to SyFi or FX or some other network? Fox can profit from the sale and dump the show that they want to dump, and the other network can pick up a show that may have untapped potential and an established fan base.
Good point. I'm sure there is a good reason. Doubt any corporation would not want to make a profit. You should e-mail them!
Just a question to all you Fringe fans out there, I just watched the last 5-6 episodes from Season 3, I've gotten hooked. I get the jist of what is going on in the show, I don't necessarily like the main character (joshua jackson, I think thats his name, he has no charisma at all) but the story appeals to me. Is it worth it to watch all the earlier seasons and episodes? I feel like its the type of show where you can pick up at any point, right or wrong?
Defintely worth watching all the episodes if you are a sci-fi fan. I started watching in the mid second season and went back and watched all first season. Lots of episodes have seperate story line, some episodes are connected. But as long as you get the idea of parallel universe and the struggle between the 2 universes then it is pretty much a no brainer to watch the rest.
Absolutely, particularly season 2. Im actually surprised you could follow what is currently going on without having watched the rest. Leonard Nimoy left the show after the 2nd season as well, can't miss him The main character is Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and Jon Noble are more supporting characters.

Ah, the Fringe thread. I actually wanted to chime in on the show, but was too lazy to dig this thread up. Anyone noticed that Walter is more evil than Walternate? Walter had no remorse experimenting on children, while Walternate absolutely refused the idea. Another hint was when Newton put Walter's memories back into his head and Walter immediately became a foul mouth, arrogant, unapologetic jerk. I am glad this show is off life support, but it's still in Jeopardy. The show has prompted me to actually watch it on television instead of Hulu just to save it.
Walter and Walternate had the same drive (do anything for their science) before Walter stole Peter. That changed Walternate and in order to help William took the pieces from Walter's brain that gave him that do anything for science attitude. So technically, they both have moments of evil... but Walternate's lost child gave him a strict line about children (perhaps also some compassion) and Walter's psycho years with only part of his brain changed him. It's kind of cool how the show explores the idea of two identical people can be changed by circumstances and develop into distinct personalities. Sort of the idea of nature vs nurture on an extreme level. I hope that this show survives.. I was worried after the move to Friday, but I like how they made it part of the promotion of the show. Fringe Friday hopefully will remain steady to get a renewal.
I like them now delving into Olivia and Faux-livia I would have liked to see more of the Atl Browles I like how the other time line is not . . JUST A BUNCH OF EVIL FOLX DOING EVIL THINGS. They are trying to save their world. Now that 'our' world is having similar issues. . .we get to see if we will do similar things. . . Rocket River
I hope it survives too..i have a bunch of show's tivo'd... Rebecca Mader from Lost gave a shout out to Fringe in the latest Maxim...
Ditto, she's been played up as far more agressive than Olivia in everyway. Olivia is just too wound up.
Red-Olivia would appear to be the obvious choice, but she's too comfortable in her own skin. Too confident, probably overrates her own performance and is satisfied by what she does. Blonde-Olivia is so insecure about not being open and loving, she is probably more giving and more willing to go along with your suggestions.
I think this is obvious... Olivia is so bottled up when you uncork her... she's bound to be a freak in the bed
I dunno . . . in the middle of it she might develop telekinetics or something You wake up in a different universe!! Rocket River "I rocked his world!!! LITERALLY" - Olivia
