Honestly, if I was a superstar like Dwight Howard, and I couldn't shoot free throws, which made me completely unreliable in late game situations... I'd choose Kobe Bryant too. Nobody in the league thrives in late game situations like Kobe does.

Not to mention Kobe's selfishness and tendency to rely on jumpers would really help Dwight's offensive rebound stats.

What's interesting is that while Dwight has always denied that he's going to leave Orlando is that he's already eligible for an extension.

In other words I seems like he'll keep his options open and see what happens in Orlando. If the Magic aren't going to at least make the Finals in the next two years, I fully expect Dwight to leave.

Exactly. Kobe has already declined. In 2012 when Howard leavs Kobe will no longer be Kobe (especially if they make dep playoff run this year).

Orlando is going nowhere really, so while he is in his prime, he should go to where is going to win, be that whatever team gives him the best chance.

Dwight will sign with whomever can give him CP3 and complimentary roleplayers so they'll have enough talent to beat Miami.

LA is unlikely to even re-sign Kobe after the current contract, unless it's bargain basement, he's declined too much

He may want to think about teaming with Kevin Durant instead. That would provide him with great window of opportunity to win.

Unfortunately, that's not how a vast majority of the young NBA players think. It's all about the sexy cities, and I can't think of a less sexy city than OKC.

I'm hoping the new CBA will have some kind of safeguards against this crap. (stopping before I rant)

He did name a star, he didn't name a city. Of course, by 2012 Kobe will be relegated to maybe 10 ppg...

There is nothing left to do now anymore except for the franchise tag. I can take another 5 years of middle level Rockets play level. I cannot take another 5 of those years with Lakers, Heat, and Knicks overloading their rosters with superfriends every single year. Franchise these athletes now.

Ive been saying it...that's the only place he'll go if he doesnt stay in Orlando. He craves the spotlight and being behind a camera.

By the way, did anyone see Dwight's face when Webber was telling him about Mcgee's dunk?? Priceless.

    Kobe's contract ends in 2014

If Kobe was about to retire, then heard Dwight Howard was coming to the team, Kobe might would UN-retire to give it a go.

Phil Jackson is the one most likely to retire.

KD and Westbrook are not enough of a draw to overcome being in OKC and attract superstars free agents.

If i was Dwight Howard i would wait and then ask for a sign n trade with Miami Heat for Bosh + a first rounder.

It would definitely create a monster team as Bosh is their only weak link.
