3/4ths of his foot was inside the line man, cmon. Wait till the Ibaka replay, I had it on DVR on HD, this dudes tip of his shoe was behind the line. His height doesn't matter, in facts it makes it pretty impressive since he is carrying all that weight in the air.
Exactly. I can't wait to see that Ibaka dunk again, Also the Brent Barry just proves that he should have got a 50 for it. Yes every year someone tries to dunk from the FT line, but not many actually succeed.
Agree to disagree. Height matters a lot in my eyes -- huge wingspan makes all the difference. They (Dwight, Ibaka) don't have to jump as high as others because their arms are so much longer.
Yeah earlier today in that all-star thread I said the FT line dunk was overrated and annoying because MJ and DR J didn't jump from the ft line but I was impressed by what Ibaka did.
I'm surprised that so many thought this was the best contest. Even the year with VC and our own Stevie Franchise was more entertaining, to me anyway. I like DeRozan...
Not taking anything away from Jordan. But you show me somebody that can do what Ibaka did. Complete that jump with his foot behind the line. Can any 7 ft do that? Idk
I'm with you, amigo. Derozan was the most impressive, but none of them compared to the show that Vince Carter put on. I bet McGee would've.
Blake attempted some amazing dunks though. If he completed that one off the side of the backboard AND spun...wow. If he did that one, it might have been one of the best dunks ever. The car dunk is trash. Cmon now most dunkers can do that, I'm pretty sure most NBA players can jump over the front end of a car (except most of the players on the Rockets...) he should have done more with it than a two hand dunk. In reality without all the props it's just a two hand dunk.
If you play a video of all the actual COMPLETED dunks, its some of the best. Its all the extra hoopla, gimmicks, awkward pacing, and MISSED attempts behind them that hampers it.
