I'm not sure about those notes about the pilot. Seems too campy. I like the tone and all of The Cape better, but I'm just too busy on Mondays to watch it. I like Palicki as an actress, but not for this role. I've just pictured Bridget Regan (formerly Kahlan Amnell in Legend of the Seeker) as perfect for the role.
rpr52121, did you make that photochop? I agree that Bridget Regan would make a great Wonder Woman. She has the right look and does a good job at ass kicking. Then again I am biased to Irish women.
Seems like something I'll see in a convention. How will they film their actions scenes when she's running and jumping in skin tight jeans and high heeled boots? That thing looks like it'll rip when she moves her leg. Also it might just be me but the colors look really campy. Criminals IRL will probably capture and rape her when they see her strutting out in that getup,esp with her cleavage about to pop and the kinky lasso.
That picture is a photoshop...at least most of it is. They probably couldnt get the full costume and just did a quick shoot and added parts of the costume later.
Here's a larger version of the photo and it's not a photoshop..... I am a little surprised they kept it as bright as they did, personally I thought they were going to go with something much more muted colorwise but it kind of looks like the new comic version of the costume sans the jacket;
That costume looks like something you could buy for Halloween. I can't believe they signed off on that.
I don't love the costume but I don't hate it either. I like that they went with the modern version of WW and the not the traditional suit that wouldn't have played all that great now. I agree that it's too bright, tone it down a bit and make it less shiny. The one thing I have to try and remember, this is a TV show and not a movie. The budget for this thing probably isn't very high and so using up what resources they have on a top notch costume probably wasn't high on their list. From the script, it sounds like they want to focus on the character development of Diana, rather then the action scenes for WW anyway.
It's a show for NBC if it gets picked up. Also, if I remember correctly Wonder Woman is well known in the general public conscience when the show begins, she's an icon already I guess that might explain for the brightness of the costume's color.
