Looking for foods that help. From what I hear, the stomach tightens almost in a "knot" feeling and it's due to a weak digestive track. I'm just looking on tips and tricks to improve this condition for a family friend.
Try something made up largely of ground Psyllium seeds, like Metamucil. Use it regularly for a few weeks and see if you notice a difference. I suspect you will.
Have you tried probotics? For decades I had issues with eating cheese. I assumed it was lactose intolerance. For whatever reason, I didn't have enough good digestive bacteria. I started taking probotics and the cheese issue went away.
Stay away from bread products. Also get a food allergy test done, to see if something you eat regularly might be causing illness.
