[rquoter] "The Development League is nothing but what my agent told me is a plea from the league saying, that ‘We want you to show humility to get back in (the NBA),' " McCants said.

If that was the goal, it didn't work.

After initially saying he was better than 70-percent of the players in the NBA, McCants upped the ante after being told his agent thought the percentage was even higher.

"I was being modest saying 70-percent," McCants said. "My honest opinion is 95-percent. I don't even think there are top-tier All-Stars who are better than me, and they know who they are."

Maybe if he peaks out that is true, he had a butt load of potential coming out of UNC, but as of now, yea I think he meant WNBA.

    Well, he's wrong.

McCants may be right when he says he was blackballed out of the NBA, but it wasn't completely unwarranted. He also is delusional if he thinks he is in the top 5% of players.

He was in college at least. I miss those days; he was my favorite player on that team.

He is the SG version of Erick "I am the 2nd best C in the league" Dampier. He is so full of himself.

Anyone know his story? He was making pretty steady progress in Minny and scored 15 PPG on 40% from 3 in 2008. Then he disappeared. What happened?

Last year, the Rockets invited him to camp. He got an abdominal injury and never came back.

This season, the Cavs were interested in him, so they sent him a summer league invite. He never showed up to camp and didn't tell anybody he wasn't coming. It may have been for personal reasons, but he didn't bother to let anybody know.

Either he that, or he thought he was too good for the Cavaliers since he is a top 5% player.

Guy is a serious headcase. He was a headcase at NC and it was a real tribute to Roy that he was able to win a championship with him being a constant distraction.

He just believes he should abide by different rules than any of his teammates.

Trust me you will never see him in the NBA again

I thought that he was supposed to join the Mavericks summer league team, but he never showed up to their first practice. A few days later, IIRC, he got out of his contract and signed overseas (China?).

His NBA career is likely done. But he was a heck of a college player.

I don't recall him being a big problem for Carolina. He had attitude, but it never resulted in any on-court or off-the-court incidents that I recall.

WOW!!! If he had 95% of the d-league even that would have been a huge overstatement. This is even funnier than Sasha saying he can average 20-30 PPG and how he didnt want to steal Kobe's thunder.

He can score 20+ ppg in the NBA, right now.

He is a huge waste of potential and talent. I hope Terrence Williams keeps working hard and has his head on straight.
