    Stop day dreaming!
If he is available, he will not go to Rockets.
We do not have a superstar to attract another one.

Ariza for Courtney Lee was still a bad trade.

I would have traded Ariza for a bag of potato chips.

Carmelo is going nowhere but the Knicks. Get a clue Morey. You clueless twit. Bosh isnt coming here, Carmelo isnt, Amare you had a shot at and lost, nobody is handing you over their top 5 pick of this last years draft just because you want Cousins really really bad after the fact he was drafted and looked decent. Get real Morey and starting thinking real moves here and get them done. Carmelo is not getting traded so move on and make your own deals based in reality of what wer can and should do already.

Pretty much on Landry for Martin and Tmac for 1st rounder after the fact his stock dropped through the bottom and Hill as a add in player. No on Ariza trade for Lee. Still half facts and some truths to back argument. Some bad deals mixed in with good deals to boost bad outcome so far. Rather incomplete outcome. Right nowreview of Morey is mixed and not concrete either way. Some bad, some good, and some unfinished.

Which is odd -- why anyone would want to trade KM, a premier play who wants to play in Houston.

Pretty much. I dont. Id rather stay away from Kevin Martin trade talks altogether and place him with someone else who wants to play here. Move someone older possibly to get this done like Battier and Scola. Kevin Martin should stay though.

How is it a "forgone conclusion"? Give some substantial evidence other than your mindless assertions.

Easy. Courtney Lee backup no minutes
Ariza starter minutes on winning team and at least 500 Rockets team over Shane Battier last year.

Thats all the evidence I need since no more exists on Courtney Lee to date as a Rocket. Rather none to speak of unless you count starter on one of the worst NBA teams in league history as your agrument or team loser in NBA finals to Arizas Lakers?

Ariza starter for Lee backup????? Let me see and squint my eyes very tiny like and see if I can spin this into Courtney Lees favor.................................................. Still squinting. Now eyes hurting... Envisioning future with Lee starting.... Best hopes are fuzzy.. Nope still cant see it.

Thank you. facts still matter in this world ...even though that trend feels like it's slowing. Almost all of Ariza's numbers are down except his minutes.

Hahaha, Kevin Martin is a glorified role player, who gets a bunch of calls he wouldn't get in the playoffs. You saw how effective this guy is when his not getting any calls against Philly, when played like a complete scrub. Trust me this guys is nothing more than a flopping douche...

Player acquisitions have correlated outcomes. Free agents want to play for a winner. Once we get a good piece that gives us a shot in the arm like Nene, it will make Houston more attractive to other pieces. Nene is a good piece at the 5 whose size can allow us to shift the other guys to their natural position, instead of us having to play small ball and hoping our offense can score just enough to make up for our atrocious D. I'd love to see Nene here.

How is it that you can be so short sighted?

    09/10

    Off Eff - 18th @ 104.6
    Def Eff - 17th @ 105.5
    Point Differential -0.4

    Def Eff - 24 @ 107.4
    Point Differential +0.2

I don't know why some people don't understand that close games can be really flukey. Last year we won a bunch of those close games and our record probably was better than what we really were. This year we are losing a lot of these close games and I would say we are definitely a little better than our record shows.

People keep saying we are playing worse this year and I just don't see that much of a difference. If anything we are playing almost identical to last year, our offense has improved just about as much as our defense has regressed. When you take into consideration AB was our best offensive weapon last year and this year he has been a shadow of himself and we STILL are so much better on that end of the floor should say something. This season we are even outscoring our opponents despite how bad our D has gotten. Just because our record is worse does not necessarily mean the team has gotten worse or that we are somehow in a worse situation than before.

The thing is, Morey must have felt that even though losing Ariza was going to hurt our defense, the fact that Yao was poised to come back healthy was going to really really help our defense. And honestly if Yao had come back and stayed healthy and was able to keep our defense around what it was last year when we were around middle of the pack this team would easily be in the playoffs.

Lets also not forget that when your franchise max guy is actually playing, the role players you brought in can actually slide into the roles they were meant to fill. If you want to fault Morey for not having another franchise center waiting in the wings, then I guess go ahead. But it's pretty obvious these type of guys aren't easy to come by or we would have already done it. I'm anxiously waiting to see what the new plan is, but thus far I think he has done the best he can.
