Yeah, they are wanting to trade him for Miller, Jeffries, and Hill. Rockets are holding out for picks though. Don't want to come out the losers in that trade.

Get real. The guy averages 1.6 blocks per game. 14-11 on 24 games played with 2 TO's? And this is without Carlos Boozer in the lineup. And he has yet to play an 82 game season.

They are 16-8 with him starting this year for crying out loud. It's a little early to proclaim him the "heart & soul of their interior defense..."

He is Jeff Foster on steroids making over $11 Million Per Season. A hustle player. He can get you some weak side blocks but then again so can Taj Gibson. Chuck Hayes IS a better low post defender and would be able to take the pressure off of Boozer who like Luis Scola doesn't play defense.

And as I said in the original post, if this deal was on the table and Chicago doesn't do it, they don't deserve to win a title because that is just plain stupid.

    Uhmmmm...

    Carlos Boozer...?

Do you even watch The Bulls? And Joakim Noah is a face up player offensively similar to Bosh but obviously not as good.

Agree. I saw the game as well and the Asik kid would be a huge coup for just Courtney Lee, but I don't see Chicago trading Asik. He has way to much upside and I love his motor.

Agreed 100%. If anything, lee has value on his own.

Hill, bud and a pick for Nene? Do it NOW.

I have always been in favor of going after Nene. I like your follow up deals you have here. Certainly adding Nene and Wallace helps the defense. Then you have guys in Mayo and Thabeet that have upside. Though I am not high on Thabeet, but as a backup behind Nene I suppose it's worth a look.

That would be just stupid. would never give up PP Lee and Bud for Nene who cant even play a whole season without injury

I think Lee is safe. The Nuggets already have JR Smith and Arron Afflalo (who they are in love with), so they really don't need to go after Lee... unless they are looking to unload JR Smith elsewhere, of course. I mean, hell, they already said no to OJ Mayo, so why would they say yes to Courtney Lee?

Also, if Derrick Favors is actually going to the Nuggets... wouldn't that mean Patrick Patterson is safe? At that point, they would have Kenyon Martin, Al Harrington, and Derrick Favors... why would they need Patterson as well?

Martin is an expiring contract and I think Harrington becomes their starting SF by default.

Good point... didn't really think of that.

Either way, if I'm Morey, I would do everything in my power to hang on to both Lee and Patterson in a Nene trade.

With Melo being traded, the offer for Nene should be cheaper

...I'm a little worried that if the Nets deal goes down it actually hurts our chances obtaining Nene. If we get better from obtaining Nene, one of those picks they acquire from NJ will get worse. Why would the Nuggets want to make us better if they are rebuilding with picks and need the best spot they can get from our former pick?

I hope all other teams are not putting all of their eggs in their basket on wiating for Carmelo to get traded. We all know thats not happening. Deep in the back of our heads. So hopefully other teams have contingency plans for when this domino does not fall within the next few days. Which it wont. Carmelo wont be the first guy traded. So hope other teams have that thought in mind.. Morey????

Currently we're a lottery team and would keep our draft pick in 2012 if this holds. Maybe they think sending us Nene will bump us to the 8th seed so they can receive the draft pick?

People hate when others are right on most occasions. it reminds them of their parents too much. Time to retire the brain cells and let the internet dictate what is fun to imagine for my team....
