This is a college alley-oop, and it doesn't look too incredible by today's standards. I just remember it as being one of the earliest basketball plays that really wowed me. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/bv1bXGEzEfQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Didn't know it had to be a dunk for it to be considered an alley-oop. That's some technicality for ya..

lol, anything that Lebron does is the best ever. god i hate this generation of fans. alley-oop = dunk
THIS is the greatest alley-oop ever: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/i7rsqsNf4SE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> ... if you count it as an alley-oop...

Not NBA, the Olympics. But I thought Wade's alley-oop pass to Kobe was a very creative spontaneous play <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VtU8Z2HrOsw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The ball probably flew in too hard, but I think LerBon could've dunked that. He probably just didn't want to.
I remember watching this when it happened. great play by wade. that dude just has a nack for sick plays. the vince carter high light reel is just silly. if you don't think that's the best I don't know what to say. catching alley oops and windmilling in the game. come on. that's way ahead of everything else, and just for fun, nba tv is showing dunk contests today. i think the vince vs steve is at about five.
