I'm all for taking a chance on Thabeet. He has all the tools as a young Hakeem, at least defensively. Body type is ridiculously similar.
doesn't say the rockets are interested. they probably are (for the right price) but we shouldn't infer too much.
The article doesn't say anything about the Rockets, only one sentence that the Grizzlies are actively in trade talks regarding Thabeet.
I hope their is something to this, Thabeet has legit size(Height 7'3/7'6 wingspan)... and has potential to anchor a team's defense... I also wouldn't mind OJ Mayo..
Bad thread title, but I think he's saying he thinks the Rockets may be interested, not that the article says that. I have to say that when I read the title I did think it would say the Rockets were interested though....as well as the fact that it's in the GARM..... Pugs
He is NOT good. And he will probably never be good. Unless we can get him for dirt cheap, he isn't worth it. I don't care how much of a need we have at C, this guy is not the answer. Comparing him to a young Hakeem is such a slap in Dream's face. Hakeem always had an offensive game, and he was a much more fluid player than Thabeet. People need to look past his draft position and realize there is just nothing there. He makes Sam Bowie look like a good pick.
Lakers willing to listen to offer on Artest - Rockets might be interested. Mavs may move Brendan Haywood - Rockets might be interested. Starting rumors so easy a caveman can do it! Carry on
This is like posting an article about Taylor Swift breaking up with Jake Gyllenhal and making it say "Taylor Swift single, R KELLY INTERESTED"
You got it! Haha. Bad wording on my part, just move it to the dish, I have a feeling Morey will push for a trade especially if he can get him for cheap.
I've tried to watch more Grizzlies games on LP and I've seen Thabeet play a little bit (he hardly get minutes) and he looks even worse than Jordan Hill when it comes to pure basketball IQ. He's aggressive on defense but he fouls too much. I really don't see him being a difference maker on a team for 2 more years.
