What a stupid, useless post. Sure, let's get rid of Yao. Never mind the fact that he is essentially gone already. And if the norm for Yao is being injury prone and he is not getting back to normal shouldn't he be signed to a max deal? I'm glad your train of thought was short because I can tell if you were able to string complex thoughts together, your post would have been an illogical, poorly worded wall of text.
The Rockets need to do something big to make themselves a contender, yet the fans shouldn't get excited in the meantime if the GM is active to try and achieve this goal.... logic has officially left the building
Essentially gone but still on the roster, means he is still part of the roster. He does us no good being injured for the whole season twice in a row. So trade the junk and bring in something worth while who can actually stay on the court and play.
Nothing big is going to happen Melo is going to New York. Don't get your hopes up high the NBA is like WWE... fixed drama! Major markets in certain cities will get lots of superstar players. Houston is not one of them.
davids2004 should be the next GM of the Rockets, what great insight. I bet no one in the organization has even thought of this
Make sure to tell him the only way for the team to get better is by winning games and not lose anymore. And also that the key to winning games is scoring more points than the other team. I think that'll help him.
Reason for excitement: Rockets already have an agreement in terms with the Nuggets for Carmelo Anthony that has been in place for over a month, however Denver would like to hold on to Anthony until the deadline for ticket sales. The Rockets are still hammering out the details on bringing in the Hornets as a third team to complete the acquisition of Chris Paul. The final Rockets lineup will be something like Paul/Ish Smith Martin/Lee Anthony/Budinger Patterson/Scola Nene/Yao/Hayes
I love it when as a clutchfans poster, MY 1-Star vote is the one that brings an overall thread rating down from 2 to 1. I also noticed that this thread is so bad someone went back and changed their vote to 1-Star from whatever their first reaction was. yes, it's THAT bad.
What is funny is that you think this thread is bad, but people continue to post to keep it at the top. If it was bad let it go and it will fall down.
if only this auction had a "Trade Now" button. I'm sure the price wouldnt be as good as the final bid but it saves you if the final bid is higher and crappier than the trade now price.
Get Lowry OUT OF THE STARTING LINE-UP. Then I would get excited. He had 18 points in 21 minutes last night. Why he's not playing 30 minutes a night with Martin is beyond me. We're not going win anything this year, that is clear. But I guarantee this team could make a REAL playoff push with AB and Martin playing long stretches together. Its time for them to get some chemistry together. Besides, our bench needs Lowry's energy! Brooks earned his spot last year. He should have been an All-Star. He shot 40% on 3's and made 208 of them, leading the league in makes. FREE BROOKS!!
If you think that the Rockets are going to be a legit contender next year, you will be disappointed. Rebuilding is a tough long process and requires a great deal of luck. The Rockets will not contend for the forseeable future. What they need to do is to put themselves in a situation in which they can get lucky by getting rid of contracts and acquiring draft picks.
