Reason being, he wears number 13. He became a bust because of this number. Now here comes my point, Yao Ming has worn the unlucky number for China, but can't wear it for us. Just one more reason, that Yao will be successful. Anybody else thankful for Kelvin Cato?

please, save your insults for Karl Malone, not our Rocket's center.

well, duno exactly what u're talking bout with the number thing
    ...

but all these bust etc talks and who sucks and we should and shouldn't get - shouldn't be the focal point

it is, as your thread title hints, we are lucky to get cato, griffin, boki, tmo, and even players that might miss many games... or even those that eventually bust and don't make it.

    because

no one can predict how players turn out or who will be injury prone (within a realm of reason... don't take chances on camby and dyess, don't pay collier big bucks betting on his improvement)

    and

I feel lucky to root for a team that gets guys like Cato and the above ... because of all the potential they may have. It really is a celebration for how fortunate I am to be a Rocks fan and having Rudy T. and crew picking guys that have that chance of playing way better than anyone anticipated and being decent ppl (until money issues crap everything up)

We are lucky to get Cato, because that means someone is still taking a decently smart risk. It is why we are lucky to have Yao Ming, even if he does become a "bust." ... because we know Rudy is choosing those next players that hopefully brings us to greatness again.
