Not sure if that's the route i would take... Mike Brown only did well because of Lebron. You can see what Cleveland is without him. I would personally give Elston Turner a shot to keep some continuity or go in a whole new direction and give Mario Elie and Sam Cassell a shot.
I think it depends on what direction the squad takes and their long term view of the team. If the Rockets try to reload and continue to try to acquire a superstar then I can see them going for a veteran coach but if they rebuild then I think some new blood will come into play.
Because your thread contributes nothing and could easily go into the other 8 million Adelman threads. I don't understand why posters complain about having low ratings for their threads. It's like saying "I don't understand why nobody likes my design ideas, they look good to me!"
It's not that I didn't see the other Adelman threads, its that given the rating system in place, I feel its unwarranted. Lawrence Frank is a good coach. Adelman, if he does not get resigned, will need to be replaced. Not, FIRE ADELMAN NOW. This is an entirely different concept from that, and therefore does not belong in the FIRE ADELMAN thread.
It would entirely depend on what other coaches are out there and what the team's priority is once Adelman leaves. If we're looking at a full-blown rebuilding situation after that point, I'd rather give an under-the-radar coach the chance. Someone like Mario Elie or another coach that's been waiting for his chance. If the team is looking to win right away, Lawrence Frank would be one of the guys I'd consider a decent hire.
If we are in serious rebuild mode, then lets get the crappiest coach we can find. Then after a few years of high draft picks, look for a new coach.
