They have different roles, both are important. Brooks is more important because he is the only one who can create his own shot, but at the end of the day all the little stuff, movement, passing, etc. is to do one thing: get open looks at the basket because they have a better shot at going in. We are getting good looks, but they just arent going in.

I think 99% of the problem is the shot.

Have any other teams expressed an interest in AB? Adelman has stated he has told Brooks he will not be traded. How is that?

I cannot believe Ish did not see 5 minutes last night. Nor the game before?
But he played really well and got things ginning the game AB was suspended.
I think the team enjoys playing with Ish - moreso than AB. I can expect and live with rookie mistakes made by Ish - but am not as forgiving now with Brooks.

Im seeing a new sign with AB. He used to be so energized and willing to leave everything on the floor, now it seems like he just wants out. Which was fine until the game where he walked off in OT. Now he is seen as a trouble player, and we are losing value for him if we try to trade. On another note Lowry is steadily getting better, his growth reminds me of Rondo. I hope he keeps developing.

I agree that that was the problem originally, but I think it has gone beyond that now to where it is affecting the rest of AB's game. Because he has such an important role, one earned through his play in the past, you just can't sit him when his shot isn't falling, like you can with Bud. AB is out there running the team. Clearly, at least to me, the other parts of his game, the "running the team" part, has been strongly impacted by his shot not falling. I like AB, I really do, but I like the Rockets winning games more. In my opinion, until AB gets himself straightened out, Ish should be the second point off the bench. Adelman has given Brooks an extended period to get that shot back. If the rest of his game were as good as we've been used to, it wouldn't be as big a deal, but in my opinion, it's not.

The guy needs to get himself together, and I've grown tired of watching him have a negative impact when he's in, which has happened far more than I would have believed had I not watched the games. All of them. Right now, AB is a basketball basket case and it pains me to see it.

AB isn't very talented at all, don't kid yourself. Nobody goes into an 18 month slump.

The cavs didn't *just* lose lebron from that team. Why do people always act like it was only Lebron that left?

I can't be pissed at AB. Adelman, yes, for playing AB-- I'm pissed at Adelman plenty.

AB needs to step back, hit the reset button, get back to what made him the AB we all knew and admired. At least I admired him, because he was a guy my height with the audacity to score 30+ in NBA games. He was a one-man Laker destroyer. Right now his mind's not right. A change of scenery might be best for all concerned. I wish him nothing but the best.

I'm not pissed, but I'm seriously disappointed. Man, AB was probably my favorite or one of my fav players on the team ever since the 2008 playoffs. I would never have believed he'd end up like this. I guess being on a team with no prospects probably takes a lot of toll on certain types of people.

Some people are saying it's just his shot that's off. Well, every shooter has that problem in parts of the season, and in parts of their career with injuries, etc. It's still has responsibility to fix it. He can't just mope around the rest of the season without taking steps to fix that. His shot being off is his fault too.

If your game is focused on shooting, you're supposed to put in the hours of repititions and working on shooting mechanics to break out of these slumps.

What I see now is that Aaron Brooks is just getting the same kind of treatment on this board much like Rafer Alston or T-Mac got all because of his regressive play.

I'm sure that if the internet was alive like it is now during Sleepy Floyd's playing days with the Rockets, then he would have gotten the same treatment on this board much like what I had been seeing of Aaron, Rafer, or T-Mac.

I think that if Aaron's ankle is still bothering him now, he just won't be as effective out there because he would only thrive on blowing by opposing defenders. I hope that I'm wrong, but there's a good chance that he might not ever be the same player he was prior to his ankle injury, at least for the rest of this season. All that being said, I have a problem with him having to overcompensate out there for his ankle injury.

It seems like every Rockets player right now has some part of the fanbase "super pissed" at him. The only exception may be Patrick Patterson.

If AB have the same mindset as you, I suggest him to quit professional sports altogether.

No crying baby is needed in Pro. sports. Prove your worth by playing good, AB!

Nah if AB was like me , he would have been traded already...Bcuz I would act a damn fool to make sure they get rid of me....And you know you would feel the same exact way at your job if that happened to you..Well probably not since you probably view yourself as "fortunate" right?...Right!!!
