I haven't attended a game all year, and I barely watch the games on tv. I'm still a big Rockets fan - why else would I check this board daily to see if there's any new trade rumors.

I actually watch more Rockets games than years past. Ttwo factors though have changed my viewing dynamic.

This year I found internet feeds that showed the games that weren't on TV. The feeds have helped me get a more accurate picture on what is going on.

Another factor is I'm the Cover it Live chat moderator for ***** so I have to watch the games regardless. I can't moderate a chat to a game I'm not even watching.

I try to catch every second of every game unless I have a prior engagement on that specific day. I share the same feelings one or two posters have said. The team is boring. I also find that my attention wanes because of how mediocre we are. I still keep hope for an epic comeback when we fall behind (like tonight) but I don't greet the comeback with extreme excitement. I simply stay patient and hope.

I would check almost every night to see if the Rockets are on, then think to myself. Oh yea, not too thrilled with our starting lineup.

    Correcting a mistake.

    Two*

And I guess I apologize for using a censored word (taboo site name). Didn't know about that.

Been watching the same amount. I do, however, tune out more often than I used to or just have it on in the background. I'm not one to question anyone's fanhood; the way the team's been playing, I definitely understand why people would tune out. I just find myself thinking how cool it'd be to either watch the Rockets finally turn it around or let their youngsters start playing so I can get high on TWill

Ive probably watched or attended 95% or more of the Rockets games since the 1972-73 season. Not gonna stop now just because they are struggling.

Damn that makes me feel old.

I have missed a handful of games, but i can't help but watch even when we lose, because the Houston Rockets are a passion of mine.

I watch because i feel like i have to but i used to get excited about watching games. As this season has gone on i have accepted that we will lose before the game starts and if we somehow win i am surprised.

we need a massive overhaul but as the deadline approaches i fear we are not going to make any moves.

I live and die with the Rockets, I'm going to watch no matter what. Yes the team is struggling, yes the team needs changes, yes it's frustrating at times.

I will never give up on my team. NEVER. When you are a fan, you stay through all times, good or bad. I will always watch.

It's ok too want better for your team, but some of you act like we are watching the Cavs.

Yes. Partly because I'm currently on the other side of the globe where soccer is the most watched sport and there are hardly any NBA games on TV. Teh internetz is not compatible with streaming here.. so..

besides Liverpool is on the up, so I'm following that more closely for now. I still check the GARM for updates on the daily.

I feel the rockets are not that entertaining... Anymore. I mean id love to see spiked blocked shots (mutombo), alleyoop, Instant replay dunks (amare) nuthin but net 3 pointers, players that played their hearts out (Yao), steve Nash passes (Rubio), players diving for balls (rodman, g Wallace).

Yep nuthin but BORING written all over us!

    Wishlist
    DeAndre Jordan
    Ricky Rubio
    G Wallace

    Make it happen morey

followed almost every game for the past 5-6 seasons

even bought league pass for three seasons straight

slowly giving up, watching a few quarters and leaving it as is

just sick and tired of the nonsense

This team has gone downhill quick, i frankly want it nuked. This squad is going nowhere as is, minor tweaks won't help a thing. I'm getting that same disinterested feeling i've had with the Astros' the last couple of years.

Scola, Hayes, Battier, and Jeffries (who doesn't even play), are the only players who play winning basketball, and these guys have physical limitations that prevent them from being foundation players.

Jury is still out on Terrence Williams (sure would like to see him) ,Patrick Patterson, And Ish Smith

I like Chase Budinger, he can be in a winning rotation, but he's hardly anything special. He happens to be a lilly white dunker, which a lot of people love (myself included), but logically speaking, he's very replaceable.

As a player I HATE Kevin Martin, he plays no defense, he doesn't create for others, frankly he does nothing except shoot well.I hated the trade when it happened, and i hate it now. You can't win with him as a focal point. The same thing can be said for AB. The only way these guys can ever win is as bench firepower.

Jordan Hill is the worst player in a NBA rotation, he is Stromile Swift, has one big dunk grabs a few rebounds, and suck at everything else. He refuses to rotate, and is quite possibly the biggest defensive liability, on a team full of defensive liabilities. This guy shouldn't see the court.

The team needs a true focal point ( hardly breaking news). Which is why i would trade for Carmelo on the outside chance he re-signs. None of our valued assets will ever get us anywhere and i want most of them gone anyhow, so i would take the chance. If Carmelo bolts, we start fresh next year. Morey has proven he can acquire good players at will, it's the great one's we're having trouble with

Did you even do that during their 1982-83 season? Watching their games that season must have been more painful than what you are seeing right now IMO. Sure, I know that that team was not suppose to be a contender after trading Moses Malone to the 76ers, but go 14-68 and not be competitive in the league?

Thanks to NBA League Pass International, I've probably watched more Rockets games this season than the previous 4 seasons combined. With that said, the 2010-11 season has been a difficult one to watch.

But I cannot complain. I am thankful to have the opportunity to watch my favorite team on a regular basis. And I have to believe that this underachieving team will one day transform itself (via trade, FAs, draft, or by development of our young talent) into a championship contender.

It may be a long road ahead, but that's what it means to be a sports fan.

So to answer your question, OP, I won't watch fewer games unless it's logistically impossible.

Hate to say it, but yes.

Mind you, I still tune in to every game. I just tune out if it makes me want to kill someone.

I still watches all the games but have lost my motivation to post anything on CF during those games.

It has gone way down even though it's more entertaining at times with high scoring, dunks, Kevin Martin's crazy shots and 30+ nights. However, I refuse to watch a team that doesn't put in the effort. Remember the winning streak in 2008, after Yao went down, can you honestly tell me that team was better than this talent wise ? No, but worked a lot harder, was selfless and truly a team.

Management has failed tremendously since that season to find a good back-up center and made some cost cutting moves that have made the team worse.
It's time to replace Morey and Adelman at the end of the season and start afresh!

I watch a lot less, and with less passion. I just have no expectation for this team, which if sad cause I don't even expect most of them to play hard.
