He's not scoring, but what's worse is the ball doesn't move either. Even Brad can't get any assists when Aaron is in. Aaron's lack of ball movement really shows the difference, in this years starting offense and last years. Or is it all due to Lowery and so much Adelman's offense?
The main difference being that Lidge was a superstar at his position. AB is getting the benefit of the doubt and it's killing our season. We would have lost at Denver if he wasnt suspended.
You know Clutch, i made a thread about Brooks yesterday saying pretty much the same thing. You know what i got for it? My thread making privilege taken away. I don't get it.
If you are referring to the play he threw it away, yes it was frustrating, but he broke down the D and though he had a man at the top of the key. Pass wasn't great, and Battier was further to the left than he thought.
You realize I'm not THE Clutch, right? And on-topic, I don't get Brooks playing over Martin in the 4th.
I'm already to the point where I no longer care about AB? I use to get upset when he played like trash, but after he seemed to stop caring I stopped wasting my time with him. If he helps the team, then I'm pleasantly surprised, but otherwise I fully expect him to suck.
For anyone who is pissed off with Aaron's poor play, I would like to know if you wished that the Rockets brought back Rafer Alston? The guy couldn't shoot straight to save his life in his own right, but he was at least a better defender than Aaron. The only thing I would have to say about the Rockets even doing such a thing is that it would be a step backwards.
you know what am pissed @..? having a 36 year old center who is getting paid 5 millions this season and can barely score or rebound.
I see this as a blessing in disguise. We all thought AB was this perfect teamplayer...nice guy and all that...but these last few weeks have really shown what kind of character he has.
I decided to wear my Brooks shirt to the game today thinking that if there were any game he'd decide to turn it on, it would be this one. I watched him warm-up before the game and he was hitting pretty much all of his shots. Then he came in off the bench during the game and proceeded to pass up open looks only to drive into traffic right at Dirk and throw up some horrible shot that would get blocked every time. Then when he did actually take a jumper, it was contested and he was way off the mark. Even during that great run in the 4th, Aaron was passing up easy shots for more difficult ones only to be saved by Jordan Hill or Battier on the offensive boards. After that terrible pass that went right at Jason Terry, I turned to my dad and said, "I can't believe I wore this stupid shirt to the game." So, yeah, I'm pretty upset with Aaron Brooks tonight. And honestly, nothing would make me happier than to wake up tomorrow morning and finding out that the Rockets traded him to any other team. It doesn't really matter which team, or what the Rockets got in return.
One would think ABrooks is pissed at himself... 2011 has cost him a lot of money... I am pissed at him too; his trade value is way down from 2010... We need him to keep "it" together for just 10 more days... give time time...
I never was big on AB. He's too small. I'm not keen on any undersized (especially AB who's waaay undersized) players for his position. Wouldn't care less if he was deported.
I thought AB would be a great weapon off the bench. I was wrong. He's total ass in that role. Looking forward Lowry and Brooks going head to head in the future. One or both is getting traded.
